John McCain No Support For Palin and Trashes RNC Ad
MCain Won't Support Palin 2012 Run ... Yet
Sunday, Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, praised his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, but stopped well short of giving her the nod as the GOP’s standard bearer in 2012.
On ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” McCain was asked if he would back Palin in 2012.
His terse reply was that he “can’t say something like that,” adding that the GOP has a stable of great governors poised to play a greater leadership role in the party, according to a report in The Hill.
“I have the greatest appreciation for Gov. Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them,” he conceded. “She invigorated our campaign.”
McCain used the forum to voice support for President-elect Barack Obama and for some of Obama’s Cabinet choices.
He said that the national security team picks could be his own. He also praised the tapping of Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary, according to the report.
McCain, however, was quick to condemn the tactic of the Republican National Committee seeking to take political advantage of the arrest of Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich – by attempting to link the incoming Obama administration to the controversy.
“In all due respect to the Republican National Committee and anybody - right now, I think we should try to be working constructively together, not only on an issue such as this, but on the economy stimulus package, reforms that are necessary,” McCain said.
“Look, the president of the United States has been selected,” McCain added. “It’s time for us all to join behind him and help however we can. These are challenging times.”

Wild Thing's comment.......
At first this made me angry, but now I have to laugh about it. McCain is actually VERY jealous. He let it be known way back his first choice for VP was Joe Lieberman. Poor baby did not get to pick him, whoever it was knew he would not have a chance and none of us would want his ticket like that. Thus Sarah Palin was picked and we all were and still are enthused about her.
He saw the reaction change so much once he picked Sarah. The turn out at the rallies was enormous and ONLY because of Sarah. Toward the end many of the signs held up did not even have McCain's name on them. LMAO So there McCain!
He didn’t count on such a visceral, positive reaction from a large segment of conservative Republicans. She outshone him.
And, contrary old cuss that he is, self-destructive fool that he has always been, he really resents her for it.
What got me big time during the campaign was, there was Sarah hitting the opponent hard with facts, facts about Ayers, and Rezko etc. Facts that a lot of people even today some do not know about those names, you know the me me me crowds that never get into politics and research the candidates.
And while she was doing all the hard work, there was John McCain, kissing up to Obama, scolding voters for asking questions about Obama being a Muslim, telling them Obama was a man of Honor. Blasting ads in some of the States that showed Rev Wright and his hate speech. Laying into a man that introduced him (McCain) on the campaign trail for using Obama's full name.
Hello John, you attacked the TRUTH, you attacked the base, YOU attacked the best thing that a candidate could have for a VP......Sarah Palin.
Sarah campaigned as a person on a mission to win.
McCain campaigned by his words 90% of the time as a person that wanted to lose.
McCain is a walking poster-boy for what is wrong with the Republican party.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Your comments are right on Chrissie.I wish he would just quietly go away...but i doubt he will.

PLEASE, let's hope McCain doesn't support her. Sarah is a Conservative while McCain is a RINO. He's the reason PEBO is going to the White House. McCain's support for any Conservative candidate could be the kiss of death. I wouldn't be surprised to see him switch parties within the next couple of years.

BobF--
Make that a couple of months.

The only thing I like about McCain is his wife. I don't know what she sees in him.
I also don't know why McCain continues to be a Republican and even claim t be a conservative. Yes WT, John McCain exemplifies the dire condition of the Republican Party.

Tom, remember during the campaign that McCain kept telling us he was a Conservative. A real Conservative wouldn't have to keep telling people that as his/her actions would have already made it known.

Thanks Chrissie and Mark. I started to post about this yesterday but lost it to the vernacular.
Time has proven that George Bush has been the best president the Democtrats ever had, in their BDS they just don't recognise his contributions to their cause, 9-11 got in the way and I'm grateful Bush paused to defend the nation and support the troops.
Likewise for John McCain, he exemplifies what caused the GOP to derail, walking back up the tracks to where it left we find the point where it tore away from the base, with roots and all it hurtled left for the great crash back in 1981. In a string of sucessive options where the choices were always between the lesser of two evils, this was engineered by the GOP party heads. All throughout the 2008 primary, the last man anyone would have thought would succeed got the nod, not because he had the funds to hang in there but because of RNC and NRCC support. Support steadfastly withheld from Republican candidates with traditional values. They wanted another RINO, McCain's pick of Sarah Palin was a patent move to boost flagging support. Once he failed he didn't even have the courtesy to condemn his campaign personnel for their attacks against her. Like the political skag he is, he reverted to kind and is basking like a lizard in the glow of Socialist limelight with 'my friends' across the aisle.
Chrissie you said: "Hello John, you attacked the TRUTH, you attacked the base, YOU attacked the best thing that a candidate could have for a VP......Sarah Palin."
Yes he did, he and J F'ing Kerry attacked each and every one of the POW's and MIA's and their families by sealing their records when they were on the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs(1989-1993. Hiding what???
Many a boot on the ground in the late '60's would have risked their all to bail John and his fellow prisoners out.
"Never suppose that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing..." --Thomas Jefferson
Let's just leave it that as John once was a hero.

This made me sick. He and that fellow RINO Powell need to STFU. Can you imagine if we'd had McCain running with Lieberman (I'm convinced he was pissed he couldn't add him to the ticket and had to pick Palin for the "woman" factor)? That would have essentially been two dems against two dems. At least now the clear cut progressives can screw up real good and hopefully be out of power for the rest of my lifetime...lol.
Not cool John.

John McCain is Barack Obama's and the Dems favorite RINO lapdog. He will be their "Republican" poster boy supporting and voting for all of their liberal and socialist legislative agenda.

Sarah Palin, a true conservative and Republican, will be far better off without the phony support of RINO John McCain in 2012. He is just pissed that she was the desired Republican candidate and not the slightly lesser of two liberal Democrat evils.

First, Colin Powell publicly attacks Republicans, then John McCain, and now Newt Gingrich. Just how do they feel that this selective public grandstanding helps the Party while giving the illegitimate PEBO a pass?

Received a letter from Laura Bush (GOP deal) today - before the hip-hoppers move into 1600 There goes the neighborhood... - and I saved the letter with her signature on it but shredded everything else... My men - Rudy and Fred and Mitt - were trashed by the GOPhers... so sad. REAR Admiral McCain? RINO-In-Chief!

During his campaign he was John McCain 'the conservative' and Sarah Palin was raking in the crowds and it looked like she could pull it off. Had she been by herself she could have, but she was carrying that boat-anchor McCain around and he was the real drag on the campaign.
What this Rino doesn't get is he would have lost in a real landslide had it not been for his VP pick, Sarah Palin, she was the energy of that campaign not him. But McCain is too brain dead to even see that.
Before he nominated Sarah Palin to be his VP, I was having real doubts about voting for him. Then it was like someone turned the lights and we could see again.
So now the election is over and the Rino lost and that is where he's at now, back to his old ways of stabbing Republicans in the back and siding with the enemy. Conservative when it suits his perverted purposes.
For McCain I am glad obama won just to put him in his place but that is a wasted effort because he will never learn, what it is like to be a real conservative. He won't be able to roll obama as easily as he rolled Bush. The jig is up Johnny boy.

James M, thank you. I agree, I wish McCain would retire and just go away.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:19 PM
BobF, I agree I don't want him to support her. I just don't want him to be blasting her in anyway about his not supporting her. McCain could have answered a dozen other ways then the way he did and the look on his face he gave off.
Your right, I hope he leaves her alone, she does not need his kind.

Rick, yes, he might as well, he will only do damage to our party.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:26 PM
Tom, yes Cindy is great. I like her and respect her. She helps a lot of people and it is very sincere with her.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:29 PM
Jack, yes I agree, John was a Hero and I too will always say that about him. That should never be taken away from him.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:30 PM
Eden, I agree, I wish people like Powell and McCain would put their opinions aside and not speak unless it is someting positive about the party they belong to. They do wrong big time in doing this.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:33 PM
Les, see your right and that is the thing too. To be a favorite of the left speaks volumes about a person.
I would get very worried if let's say my blog was a farovite of the democrat underground or KOS or something. YIKES
Thank you Les for those images.

Darth, that is wonderful, Laura Bush has been an elegant First lady.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2008 11:38 PM
Mark, well said!
It also feels like McCain is now getting even more of a rino then he was before. Almost as though he wants to follow in the footsteps of Powell.
