Seriously, I didn't think the dude could shock me anymore, but this pick of the head of one of the worst school systems in the country (I think he's also tied to that failed Annenburg Challege farce) in the wake of all this pay to play controversy is just in your face "I'm above reproach" audacious.

Obama got snarky with a reporter yesterday, they'll tire of that stuff quickly and the honeymoon will be over.

All crooked politician roads lead to the Chicago machine, and Obama is not the Virgin Politician. If nothing else, the taint of the scandals will be harmful. Let's hope many players go and this tarnishes his record enough to make sure he's a one-termer.

one of my many reasons for dropping out was because of the constant name calling and being made fun of for being gay. i have mixed feelings on whether or not gays should be in their own school though. if they are sheltered from the real world all through high school, then what happens when they graduate? maybe the teachers in regular schools should step up and say they are not going to tolerate it in any way, shape or form, and really start cracking down on it.

Having another school to seperate kids like that is so wrong. If there was bad feelings before this kind of thing will only make it worse.

Tony, you see you are right. You said you are gay and so you would know better then anyone how it feels to be seperated like this man's idea about highschool kids.

It is wrong in so many ways. I agree Tony, the teacher should just make like an announcemnet that any kind of name calling, is out of line and will not be permittted.

It is not just about gays but handicapped kids, kids that are not as attractive as other kids, kids that are not good at sports too have been called names.

I am adopted, I was a new born baby when I was adopted but when I got to third grade one of the kids I guess heard about it from her parents. One day at school she announced to the other kids at play time that I was a Bastard. I didn't even know what the word bastard meant. I had to ask her, she told me it meant I did not have parents. I started to cry and the teacher was upset. She sent the other girl home and then called my parents to come and talk to me along with her ( the teacher). I was really upset. I klnew I was adopted but I was told that meant I did have a family and parents that wanted me.

So you see Tony it is not just about gays that would make this school idea wrong. It builds more of that kind of thing and it is wrong.

Just like having blacks in the old days have different bathrooms, and all kinds of things. There is nothing good about any of that.

If they ever did seperate people, the only thing I would vote for would be to seperate the assholes of the world apart from the nice people. haha Then we can just know where they jerks are all located. Now that I would go for.

Now even the Public Schools are promoting the Queer life-style. Incredible. And if a kid isn't queer, they will send him/her until they submit and there is parity and fairness.

Illegitimate PEBO steering our nation's education system makes as much sense as Rod Blagojevich leading the state of Illinois as it's governor. Oooooops! The people of Illinois did that and are paying the price of their stupidity. The same for the country as we are all going to pay the price of Barack Obama and Arne Duncan further destroying the minds of the country's children with an inadequate education system poisoned by a union dominated PC radical social agenda and brainwashing workshop dominated with an anti-American and racist revisionist history.

Now ya know why we paid for 12 years of quality parochial schooling for our son Wild Thing. Frau Vader works in a CHARTER SCHOOL here too. Homeschooling is getting more common here as well. I WONDER WHY?! - IN GOD 'WE' TRUST !
PS: We even had NATIVITY SCENES in our classrooms too and AMEN!
