Noose Is Getting Tighter
Gov. Rod Blagojevich is legendary in Illinois political circles for not picking up the phone or returning calls, even from important figures like the state's senior senator, Dick Durbin.
But there was always one call Blagojevich regularly took, say his aides, and that was from Rahm Emanuel — his congressman, his one-time campaign adviser and, more recently — and troubling for Emanuel — one of his contacts with President-elect Barack Obama's transition staff.
The friendly rapport Blagojevich and Emanuel shared over the years has suddenly become a troubling liability for Emanuel and the new president he will serve as chief of staff.
Emanuel and Obama have remained silent about what, if anything, Emanuel knew of the governor's alleged efforts to peddle Obama's vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Emanuel did contact the governor's office about the appointment and left Blagojevich with the impression that he was pushing Valerie Jarrett, a close Obama friend, so he wouldn't have to compete with her in the White House for Obama's attention, said a person close to Blagojevich. The person was not authorized to talk about the governor's discussions regarding the vacancy and requested anonymity.

Rahm Emanuel is as dirty as the day is long. The press will give him a pass, but it’s still true.
“On the night after the 1996 election, “Emanuel was so angry at the president’s enemies that he stood up at a celebratory dinner with colleagues from the campaign, grabbed a steak knife and began rattling off a list of betrayers, shouting ‘Dead! ... Dead! ... Dead!’ and plunging the knife into the table after every name.”
Just think of what he’s saying about obamanation’s enemies.

Yes, he is very, very dirty and he needs his mouth washed out with soap! I don't trust him. He seems like the kind of guy who would turn on his religion to save his own skin--let his own people die while burning the Torah right in front of them. (Antiochus comes to mind!) Where is Israel's Judah Maccabeus? I guess that's us Americans who are willing to stand with Israel and protect her.
But Rahm Emanuel is an evil man with a more evil plan. And Blago is right in there with him. Blago is not evil, though. He is a blowhard with a bad hairpiece and a low IQ.

Rahm and Barrack, a marriage made in heaven, a loose screw at command center where Blago is rocking the boat, nobody is sworn in, BHO has resigned his Senate seat and he's off to a shaky presidential voyage. If it weren't so serious and sad it would be funny, Rahm is Obama's handmaiden in corruption, sharia laws favor Muslim men, including polygamy and rejection of alimony. PEBHO has sure surrounded himself with quite a harem of lovely's. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. So I'll laugh!!!

America has just been mugged, by thugs. Americas Most Wanted could do several shows just on the people Obama has appointed so far. If you ever wondered if anyone could be more corrupt than the Clintons you have now found out the answer is yes. Funny, the Clintons are going to be in the middle of it again.
This is going to be a bad show. Wish we could change channels.

I am a firm believer in giving them enough rope and hopefully when the drop the trap door ole Rahm's head will come clean off. aside from being a pain in the ass, he is up to his dirty little neck in this thing.

I am not a lawyer but it seems to me that there are two legal issues to this story. One, did Blago seriously solicit or receive a bribe from anyone in return for appointing their person to be Senator or any other government job? Two, did Rahm Emmanuel (or any other representative of Barack Obama's) speak to Blago or any of his aides and offer them a bribe in return for their choice to be appointed Senator or did they receive a bribe request for the same and not immediately report it to the proper authorities?
Patrick Fitzgerald and the US Attorney's office was prematurely forced by a story in the Chicago Tribune to arresting Blago when they did. Hopefully, by arresting Blago, they have enough evidence to back up their charges with a conviction. We don't know as yet if this is just the tip of the iceberg and Rahm Emmanuel or other Obama representatives will be caught up in Fitzgerald's legal net. If Obama follows to form he will probably throw Rahm Emmanuel under the bus keeping him in Congress. Regardless, the people of Illinois should be given the opportunity in a special election to choose their interim Senator and not have another Chicago machine politics anointed individual coronated for them.

Mark, that works for me. The will run wild and do all their crimes, yes we will get the bad from it but they will do it anyway and we can't stop them. But if they do enough, even the media will get sick of it. I really think a few of the media are ticked now for all the Clinton peoople coming back. hahaa
