Kenyan government imposes gag order on Obama family
No media contact: 'We are doing this because we want to ensure better flow of information'
The Kenyan government has barred unapproved contacts between the media and President-elect Barack Obama's extended family.
Family members will be required to receive permission from the government before making any public statements about their famous relative, according to the Nairobi Star.
"We are doing this because we want to ensure better flow of information," Athman Said, an under-secretary in the Ministry of Heritage, told the Obama family in Kogelo.
"The government has decided that you should inform its officers who will be based here if you want to address the media."
Journalists wishing to speak with the family must first be approved by the government.
This is not the first attempt to block press interest in President-elect Obama's African connections.
Jerome R. Corsi was detained in Kenya while investigating Obama's close ties to the nation's prime minister, Raila Odinga.
The Kenyan official who reportedly orchestrated the detention was Odinga himself, according to WND sources inside Kenya.

Corsi had earlier seen the flow of information stymied by the Obama campaign itself:
"I was able to interview Obama's uncle, Sayid Obama, the brother of Obama's father, when I was doing the research for 'The Obama Nation,'" Corsi said. "But Auma Obama, Obama's half-sister, declined an interview by telephone, telling me that the Obama campaign had advised the Obama family not to speak with me, either from the United States by phone, or in person in Kenya."
Two weeks ago, parliament passed the Kenya Communications Amendment Bill, a controversial measure that gives the state power to raid TV stations and newspaper offices, as well as to control broadcast content. The bill awaits the approval or rejection of President Kibaki.
While the latest attempt to embargo news about and from the president-elect's African family may anticipate passage of the "media gag" bill, economics, tourism and boosterism are also part of the equation.
Under-secretary Said, who informed the Obamas they were muzzled, announced the Obama Cultural Home project, which will include a museum, a gallery and a leadership center in the family's town of Kogelo. A video featuring Mama Sarah Obama, the president-elect's step-grandmother, will relate the Obamas' family history. Said added that the Ministry of Heritage is negotiating with the U.S. government to display Obama's publications.
The investment in the family's village so far has caused land prices to double in the past several months. Electicity service has been routed to the community and investors are rumored to be planning hotel construction to serve the tourists expected to travel the "Presidential Heritage Tourism Circuit."
The proposed heritage center's siting in Kogelo has not been well received by the entire Obama clan. Some are demanding that the project be built in Kanyadhiang, the ancestral home of Barack Obama's father before the family moved to Kogelo.
Heritage minister William Ole Ntimama confirmed the government's intent to invest in the project.
"This is a great opportunity to open up the western tourism circuit and we have asked Treasury to find us some money so that we can roll out a number of projects that will make this a truly memorable cultural site," Ntimama told the Star.
He took issue, however, with his under-secretary, saying he had not been informed about the press ban.
"It will be surprising if they have done that because it is not right," said Ntimama. "The Obama family should be allowed to say whatever they want to without any bureaucracy."

I would bet that Obama's campaign is doing some pay offs to have this GAG order done. You know just a little gift of a few million to those in charge in Kenya.

Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler and other notoriously deceptive tyrants and murderers had the same policies in place for their societies. Kenya is a fascist state for doing this.

A black-tie dinner and ball are scheduled to take place on the night of the inauguration at posh Marriott Gateway Hotel. It is said to be a pan-African gala in honour of the first US president of African descent.Kenya's ambassador in Washington Peter Ogego said he hopes the new president and the First Lady will include the event in their round of inaugural balls.
Invitations are also being sent to incoming Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and UN ambassador Susan Rice, Mr Ogego added.
Mr Odinga is expected to attend both of the Kenya-sponsored inauguration celebrations.
So I have these questions!!!!!!

Obviously, Obamanation is a fake. He's a foreign born, non American Muslim puppet who has infiltrated our government at it's highest level and now, will do anything to stay there. He thinks he has everyone fooled. He has filled his cabinet with those who he believes are his friends and those who worked for the biggest criminals of all--the Clintons. This is going to be a very long, scary 4 years. I wish we Republicans had had a better Presidential nominee to really contend with Obamanation, but it almost smacks that this was played out on a stage and McCain knew he would be the loser.

Well Lynn, you are on to something. For some time now I have felt that Bush has been on the wrong side of history. We have Canvassback McCain in the ring, he trades off a few weak punches long after the the fight has been won on points alone then he get's KO'd by the Faker, so who threw the fight? Putting aside her own strong convictions Palin tried to fight for him, he even resisted her help, we all see the gratitude she receives from both sides, she threatens both camps.
Obama didn't just win, he was awarded the election because the heads of the GOP stuck with their RINO.
Has anyone heard a peep out of old foot in the mouth Biden? That attack dog has been muzzled!!!
Now we have Obama's tribe running interference for him with censorship of the Kenyan's by their government.

But on to a much lighter note, I think obama is a Soros plant and its Soros pulling the strings. Obama got money from all over the world. I don't believe that squirrel could gather that many nuts from one tree, he had help from someone with Soro's connections and wherewithall.
I don't believe obama is a citizen either, that is another joke on the American people. Sadly, Everybody but the Americans know this and that includes Democrats and Republicans alike. Our gutless supreme court won't touch this for fear of what might happen. So in the end We the People are getting screwed and they are burning the Constitution.

Millions of people in the United States routinely produce their birth certificate to obtain a passport, driver's license, and security clearance. The fact that elitist Barack Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate leads one to believe that he has something to hide such as not being a natural born citizen. It doesn't matter how many people voted for him or what the Electoral College certified as a result of that vote. Barack Obama either meets the Constitutional requirements to be President or he doesn't. We all know that Barack Obama thinks that the Constitution is flawed and that he wants to change it. However, it is not his option to ignore it just because he thinks that he is above the law.
If Barack Obama continues to stonewall and keep his birth certificate hidden from public scrutiny before the inauguration then any oath that he takes to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" will be a farce and lead many to legitimately consider him as having something to hide and therefore be an illegitimate President. Transparency or coverup? The choice is Obama's.

Yes she really is and if she smiles it is only half bad. But she scares the heck out of me, she is so mean looking.
Mark I agree about Soros too. Obama is going to take the oath on the Constitution that he hates and also will be sworn in illegally. And the media most of it is giving him a pass. Thank goodness for wnd and some other blogs that have been posting about this too.
