Harry Reid: "We won't smell the tourists anymore"
Harry Reid Doesn't Like Smelly Tourists
The Capitol Visitors Center, which opened this morning, may have tripled its original budget and fallen years behind schedule, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid found a silver lining for members of Congress: tourists won't offend them with their B.O. anymore.
"My staff tells me not to say this, but I'm going to say it anyway," said Reid in his remarks. "In the summer because of the heat and high humidity, you could literally smell the tourists coming into the Capitol. It may be descriptive but it's true."
But it's no longer going to be true, noted Reid, thanks to the air conditioned, indoor space.
And that's not all. "We have many bathrooms here, as you can see," Reid continued. "Souvenirs are available."
$621 million well spent.

LOL oh Harry what are we going to do with you. If a Republican had said this the MSM would be having a hissy fit.
There’s a far worse stench originating in the halls of power. I smell corruption and treason.

Harry Reid? Perhaps he wasn't smelling the tourists, but was smelling the stench of his fellow Senators. Air conditioning or not there remains a foul smell in Washington and it isn't the tourists.

Harry may be right but not because of the air conditioning!!! There may not be as many tourists going to Washington!!!!
Isn't it amazing how Murtha and Reed can ridicule people and disrespect them and the people just keep eating it up?!?! Sheesh!!!

I was in WASHDC chambers last August. All I could smell was lingering democrat. They were all out of town on break, but I could still smell them.

That strong smell of rotten body odor is the smell of royal elitism coming from senators that think their office is a life time appointment. Reid is really a class A jerk.
The sad aspect of all of this is that the American populace keeps voting these people back into office. I guess Jay Leno's Jay Walkers maybe do represent the knowledge of average Americans.

Harry Reid has got to be the biggest pussy in Washington. He tried to take on Rush and Rush kicked his ass, and got an award for doing it.
It is a real good thing that the Republicans got, now, 41 seats in the Senate at least they can slow down our eminent demise, with the group of losers we have there now.

The real stench in DC is from Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, John Murtha and their ilk which can be smelled in all 50 States of the Union. No amount of air conditioning or deodorant can cover up this liberal and socialist mean spirited Democrat blot on our society.

Tom, I agree, I used to think that Jay Walking thing just had to be giving people scripts or something to follow. But no way anymore, now I really see how so many citizens really are not that bright or ill informed. Especially after that Video we all saw of the people that voted for Obama.
