Attorney for Terri Schiavo’s Husband Now Advising Obama
Attorney Who Aided Terri Schiavo’s Husband Now Advising Barack Obama
An attorney who won an award for representing Terri Schiavo’s husband Michael in his efforts to kill his disabled wife is now an advisor to the transition team of incoming president Barack Obama.
Thomas Perrelli, who raised over $500,000 for the pro-abortion presidential candidate and is the managing partner of a Washington law firm, Jenner & Block LLP, is helping advise Obama on putting together a Justice Department team.
However, Perrelli provided Michael Schiavo with legal advice during his response to the Congressional bill that President Bush signed allowing the Schindler family to take their lawsuit seeking to prevent Terri’s euthanasia death from state to federal courts.
Perrelli led the Jenner & Block team that developed the legal briefs opposing appeals for Michael and he ultimately received the Albert E. Jenner, Jr. Pro Bono Award in October 2006 for representing Terri’s former husband at no cost.
On Michael’s legal team, Perrelli worked with infamous pro-euthanasia attorney George Felos as well as lawyers from the Florida chapter of the ACLU.
Obama’s selection of Perrelli to participate on his Justice Department transition team is no surprise given his comments on Terri’s painful 13-day starvation and dehydration death during the presidential campaign.
During his debate with Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, Obama said his biggest mistake was voting with a unanimous Senate to help save Terri.
In March 2005, just weeks before Terri died, Congress approved legislation allowing her family to take its case from state courts to federal courts in an effort to stop the euthanasia from proceeding.
Terri was not on any artificial breathing apparatus and only required a feeding tube to eat and drink. Her family had filed a lawsuit against her former husband to allow them to care for her and give her proper medical and rehabilitative care.
The Senate unanimously approved a compromise bill, which the House eventually supported on a lopsided bipartisan vote and President Bush signed, to help the disabled woman.
Obama said he should have stood up against the life-saving legislation.
“It wasn't something I was comfortable with, but it was not something that I stood on the floor and stopped,” Obama said.
“And I think that was a mistake, and I think the American people understood that that was a mistake. And as a constitutional law professor, I knew better,” he added.
That wasn't the first time Obama said he regretted supporting the bill to protect the disabled woman.
During an April 2007 debate, Obama said, "I think professionally the biggest mistake that I made was when I first arrived in the Senate. There was a debate about Terri Schiavo, and a lot of us, including me, left the Senate with a bill that allowed Congress to intrude where it shouldn't have.”
"And I think I should have stayed in the Senate and fought more for making sure [Terri's parents couldn't take their case to federal court to save her life]," he explained.
Since Terri’s death, the Schindler family has established a foundation to help disabled and elderly patients obtain proper medical care and legal and other assistance when they are denied it.
Wild Thing's comment.........
Birds of a feather flock together, no that is mean to beautiful birds. I should have said, satan’s demons do stick together. A person is known by the friends they keep. Obama surrounds himself with infernal people.
Obama is a death monger, his stance on abortion is pure evil how it is ok with him to kill a baby that some how with God's help manages to stay a live from an abortion, to his stance on Terri Schiavo. A true Muslim that has no respect for life.
Kill a woman, kill a country. Thanks braindead voters, thanks so much.sheesh
I wonder if Obama's grandmother in Hawaii was on feeding tubes when Obama and his lawyers went to visit her right before she died. Few deaths are ever that convenient. And I have to wonder if he was getting worried about her saying something regarding his mom or the birth certificate. Just curious more then anything. I am not sure but I think it takes about 10 days to die of die from dehydration and isn't that what happens when they take a person off the feeding tubes????
There is a coldness with Obama, even in his personality, he has NONE. He has as much personality as a door knob.
“And I think that was a mistake, and I think the American people understood that that was a mistake. And as a constitutional law professor, I knew better,”
There is another detail among his truly evil actions, but as I understand it he NEVER was a professor but an instructor or teachers aid. He lies about everything. The fact that the Constitution does not directly address murder does not make murder Constitutional.
Keep praying, and keep watch.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

The sanctity of life means nothing to this creep. That was made evident by his wanting to let those sacred lives that lived through a botched abortion die.
Ahh, let me correct that he does care about the lives of terrorists and wants them to be treated with cuddely kid gloves.

Yes indeed, this rounds out the obama style of Nazi Eugenics department. The agenda is becoming clear if you are: Unborn, deformed, disabled, or even comotose, don't expect a fair shake. Expect to be eliminated for the 'Good of the State'.

Yes WT, you are right. There is a coldness about Obama. A calculating coldness. His words are hollow, his bearing is arrogant and aloof. Obama's writings about his mother and grandmother are telling. They took responsibility for him, yet he accused them of racism, disowned his White blood and professed admiration for his birthfather who abandoned him. Sick.

This entire charade reminds me of Joseph Heller's Catch-22 and the shameless opportunists within Obama's inner circle. It is not unlike the cast of characters from Heller's book. Sheer madness in real life. Milo Mindbender as Blagojevich, Cathcart as Biden, it's all for the 'company'.

Without getting into any pros and cons of abortion the fact of the matter is that Barack Obama is not just "pro-choice", he is "pro-abortion". It is also a fact that he is a liar when he denies being pro-abortion as his record proves just that.
Obama More Pro-Choice Than NARAL

Bob A., your right, and yes he will not be hard on terrorists.

Mark, your so right, Obama is completing his far left list of people and his 95% of his voters have no clue just how bad they are.
I sure am learning a lot. Like the saying "'Good of the State', and "workers" and Progressive" and that kind of thing all code words for communism. Now when I see those they almost look like they are in bold print or hear them they seem louder then the rest of a person's speech.

Tom, thank you, we will see in the future too how much he shows up at places with his wife and children.

Jack, LOL that was a good comparison. I just now watched the video, perfect for this. Thank you.

Les, thank you for all of that.
Yes he is much more then pro life, good point Les. His being pro abortion is a better way to put it in how he really feels about it.

"And as a constitutional law professor, I knew better,”
Calling Hussein Obama a "constitutional law professor" is like calling Bernard Madoff an "investment counselor".
You can more easily understand today's insanity if you go back an reread "1984" by George Orwell. If you never read it then you probably can't understand any of this doublespeak.

Oops, I meant Newspeak and Doublethink in 1984. I'm too old to learn the Obama ways. The Thought Police will have me early next year.
