The Bush administration acted Wednesday against an Islamic charity suspected of helping to bankroll Hamas, the militant Palestinian group that the United States considers an international terrorist organization.
The Treasury Department's action against the Union of Good means that any bank accounts or other financial assets belonging to the charity found in the United States will be frozen. Americans also are barred from making donations to the group, which the U.S. government alleged was created by leaders of Hamas to transfer money to Hamas....
The department alleged that the Union of Good "acts as a broker for Hamas" by facilitating money transfers among a web of charitable organizations — some of which the United States has already put on its blacklist of terrorist financiers — and Hamas-controlled organizations in the West Bank and Gaza.
"Some of the funds transferred by the Union of Good have compensated Hamas terrorists by providing payments to the families of suicide bombers," Treasury alleged.
The Union of Good facilitates "the transfer of tens of millions of dollars a year to Hamas-managed associations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip," the department said.

Oh how I wish we had someone next that will have the same mentality about Islam and keep going after these charities that fund the hamas and other terrorists groups.

My Father is beside himself with all this stuff. He fought the Japanese in the Pacific and helped occupy Japan.
Being a Jew, he CANNOT BELIEVE how any Jew can support a democrat. Especially, Obama. He considers any Jew who voted for, or supports Obama, a traitor to his country and race.

No doubt about it, that money will get reinstated, by edict, presidential if not by congress. Likely as a new give away in addition to the existing bailout. I grew up impoverished, I'm not all that better off but I got what little education I could, became self sufficient and I'm able, for the present, to survive on my own resources.
I look at my estranged family and see dependence on the system, I hear rumbles about "I Hate Bush", they are all die hard Democrats, one younger brother served in Germany while I was playing in Vietnam. For all of them, I died over there, I went one way, they went another. It was over long before I left and they were pissed that I'd gone over, I guess they didn't like my rules of conduct either. Today they and most of their offspring are either on SSI or welfare, yes that old government handout builds a better subject for the master. My decision not to follow their path has made me a blacksheep but that's alright too. I'm the SOB that has to look into that shaving mirror every morning, ugly yes, but I have no regrets. As for they and those non family members of society like them, they don't vote unless it benefits them directly, so a vote for increased government benefits is alright even if it is bundled with a grant to our mortal enemies and/or it shackles them forever, self serving, you bet. They have no concept of self sacrifice for the common good, no will to work, no ambitions to achieve or to put aside assets for their own future, it's that cradle to the grave sense of entitlement that governs their every waking moment. Their entire thought process is that government owes them a good living and by God they are going to take it. The concept of doing what is best for the entire nation is obscured by their overwhelming sense of entitlements and isn't that just the very factor that elected Obama? If only they could see, hear, touch and smell the unsanitized face of Communism.

BobF, yes they will huh. We have stopped so many of these from being funded, cut off their bank accounts so many things. And Obama will open it all back up again.
