John Kerry "crushed" Over Cabinet Snub
5 on the outs in Cabinet shuffle
The new administration still has some major posts to fill, including heads for the departments of Defense, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Labor and Energy, not to mention the Environmental Protection Agency. But a number of the biggest prizes seem to have already been won, and a handful of serious contenders already been passed over in the speed-dating game that is the Obama transition.
~ snipet~
John Kerry Massachusetts senator and former Democratic presidential nominee was a passionate, articulate and early supporter of Obama, a fixture on both conference calls and the Sunday talk show circuit. Kerry’s people say he never had any expectations of being named secretary of State but other Democrats say he made no secret of his Foggy Bottom aspirations.
“He’s crushed,” said one Senate aide. Kerry would have been a fine pick, sources say, but Obama apparently had his eye on Hillary Clinton since the early fall."
He does get an impressive consolation prize: the chairmanship of the Foreign Relations Committee vacated by Joe Biden.

LOL Kerry, is that the guy that said he was in Vietnam? Now Kerry knows how his medals felt, when he tossed them over the fence. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
He is crushed??? Oh noooooooo Does this mean he has to be given another purple heart?
Yo Kerry, H0-bama is elected now and really your services aren’t needed anymore. See you all in 4 years. Looks like Obama made a whole bunch of promises to everyone who now are finding out they’ve been had.

Aw--poor baby-NOT!
I don't feel for him one bit.
My nephew had an engine blow up on him--Thank God he was able to step out of the way just in time! He didn't ask for no purple heart. He just went on and put another engine in the thing!
Kerry may be an ivy league educated man, but he really isn't all that smart--who cares if you can say nuclear or not?
I'm kind of glad that Obamanation didn't pick him for anything.

Glad he hasn't been chosen. Don't like to call people names but he's a bit of a dufuss.Have a great sunday all.

Kerry sure seems to be fading out of the Democrat lime-light. Obama doesn't need to reward Kerry for his services as Kerry will always be on his knees before him.

He was Kennedy's protege for quite awhile but even ole' Ted gave up on him. And T.Boone Pickens and 'the Swifties' are still waiting for Hanoi John to prove wrong one item of their ad. Kerry is again a slacker and a no show.
They won't admit it but even the dems know a loser when they see one, and they don't want Kerry anywhere near them. It's bad enough they had to give Hillary a bone.

It isn't over yet. I still worry who Obama will choose for his Defense Secretary. It would not surprise me if Messiah picks an anti military person for that post. Kerry would fit that bill.
If Kerry is left out of any prestigious Cabinet position, that would not surprise me. The only people who seem to really admire Kerry are the strange voters of Massachussets.

Hmmmmm! Obama's foreign policy team of Joe Biden as his trusted VP and experienced foreign policy expert, Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, and John Kerry as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be an interesting lethal mix of strong personalities. Who will Barack Obama, Oval Office Puppetmeister, favor and will this trio play nice together?

Ya know what would be funny??
If John F'n Kerry went totally bat shit crazy and physically attacked Obama, using all that self defense and *attack mode* bullshit he used in Vietnam while attacking those VC positions single handedly...
Uh, wait... Sorry, I don't know WHAT I was thinking... roflmao...

Ooh, poor John Kerry, I feel so bad. Has he been thrown under the bus like any number of Osama errrr... suporters? Guess B. Hussein swiftboated the POS.

Lynn, oh wow I am so glad your nephew is ok.
I am glad too, Kerry has been getting ignored a lot since he ran for President.

James R McKenna,I agree, anytime he is around, he is an insult to all Veterans.
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:32 PM
BobF, hahah love how you put that, haha yes I can just see Kerry begging for some job in his administration.
I have noticed that too, the rest of the dems too are pretty much ignoring Kerry, not only Obama.
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:34 PM
Mark, I agree, and I had forgotten about Kennedy, and that is true too. He doesn't want anything to do with Kerry either.
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:36 PM
Tom, oops there is that one, I wonder who Obama will pick for Defense Secretary.
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:39 PM
Les, good point. I honestly don't think they will play nice together at all. HUGE egos with all of them and Hillary might start off a team play ( only an act) but it does not come by her naturally, so there might be some in fighting because of that.

Texas Fred, Hahaha yes that would be only in his imagination. hahaahaha
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:43 PM
Bob A, haha yes Kerry is under the bus. He might stay there too.
Posted by: Wild Thing at November 23, 2008 06:44 PM
Darth, hahahahahaa he really is a lurch look alike.
