McCain Worker: Attacker Angered By GOP Sticker
Pittsburgh police are investigating after a volunteer for the Republican campaign says she was attacked by a mugger who became enraged after seeing a John McCain bumper sticker on her car last night.
According to police, Ashley Todd, 20, said she was robbed at an ATM at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street in the Bloomfield area around 9 p.m. Wednesday after leaving a Republican phone bank.
Todd told police that the suspect, described only as a dark-skinned African-American man about 6'4", stole $60 from her and became enraged after seeing a bumper sticker supporting Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain on her car.
Todd, who is from Texas, said the suspect put a knife to her neck and demanded money.
Todd told police that the man became very angry after noticing the McCain sticker on her car and began punching and kicking her.
After repeatedly hitting, kicking and threatening her, Todd told police that the man carved a "B" in her cheek.
According to the police report, the officer confirmed that he "observed the wound on the right side of [her] face.
Todd declined immediate medical attention last night but said she would go to the hospital today.
The suspect ran off after the attack; but police are hoping that footage from bank surveillance camera may help lead them to the suspect.
In an official statement the McCain campaign says: "We're shaken up by this. It's sick and disgusting."
Governor Sarah Palin reportedly spoke with the victim by phone.
Meanwhile, late this afternoon, the Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, saying: "This is a horrendous act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice."

Patrick Graham, the president of College Republicans in Pittsburgh, told KDKA that Todd works for the National College Republican Committee.
She's been in Pittsburgh about a week.
Graham said Todd was on her way to meeting, when she reported robbery and assault took place.
Among other things, police are checking security cameras in the neighborhood to see what, if anything, they may have recorded.
A photo obtained by the Drudge Report website showed Todd after the alleged assault.
However, KDKA could not verify the authenticity of the photo.
Pittsburgh Police did not take a photo of the woman.

I think Obama should be partly to blame for this. He told his followers to go out and " get in their faces", he tells at his website to go and protest at the McCain/Palin rallies. And his low life follwers obey him. His words of how terrible this attack was mean nothing just as he means nothing as a human being.

At a news conference this afternoon, offiicals said they believe the woman's injuries were self-inflicted. Ashley Todd, 20, is now facing charges for filing a false report to police.
Filing a false report and interfering with police business , this is really sick!!!!!!
Times have changed, it use to be a scarlet A, now it’s a backwards B.
What she did messes with both McCain and Obama's campaign. I could give a rats ass about the Obama campaign but this is very serious what she did.
What she did deserves a stiff penalty - because she was messing with an election (in that it would probably influence voters) and in the fact that she made a racially charged false statement in a very volatile environment.

One reason I never use ATMs. We don't know what the mugger said to her. The article does not say if the mugger specifically refered to her McCain sticker. If he did, it would not be surprising. I wonder if the police will consider this a hate crime.

Obama bears more responsibility for these attacks than most people are willing to acknowledge. His disrespect of middle America is blindingly obvious in his message. This elitist attitude is, at best condescending, at worst, bordering on contempt and that message carries through to his minions.

It may have been a voter out from 1301 Beaver Ave, on the North side who went into the Bloomfield district to get some much needed funds from that ATM and he just bumped into Ashley Todd or it looks more like superficial fingernail scratches and a black eye to me, maybe her boyfriend kicked her ass. Either way it's wrong and if it were a Obama perp or a guest from the North side, well some street justice may be in order, while the police are too busy writing parking violations. Any one of the many bridges will suffice.

There is no party lines for idiocy. This idiot fakes an attack for publicity. So what else is new? Most of the leftards lie, cheat, steal and make false claims everyday...I say move on nothing to see here.
I suggest we take time before believing everything we see in the MSM these days. They are becoming more like the "National Enquirer" Than real sources of information.

Cheryl, I never felt afraid of anyone for President before. I could not stand Kerry, Gore or Clinton. But not out of fear like this. Obama is a whole new ballgame and not a good one. dangerous!

Tom, I agree, for me I have only used an ATM twice. Once when Nick showed me how to use it. hahaa and the second time when I wanted to try it on my own a few months later. I have not used one since and that was a couple of years ago.
I just don't feel good about it, but that is just me.
I usually just get extra cash when I am buying groceries and that takes care of getting some cash out.

I saw at Michelle Malkin's that this woman has a MySpace and she only mentions one candidate there and it is Ron Paul and she mentions him three times. So I guess she is another one of those Ron Paul nutjobs......so it seems anyway.

When this kind of thing happens the story about this women making this up and doing this to herself. It hurts her more then anything else.
I just hope people realize there are REAL threats out there and real attacks on people's property, their homes ( someone painted a person's garage door with Obama across it sheesh) and cars being damaged with McCain/Palin stickers on them. So there are very real terrible things happening. We sure as heck don't need this hoax stuff. Running for President of our country is serious business.

I wonder if this lying idiot is an Obamanation operative, getting McCain secrets and passing them along. Hopefully this will blow over and NOT hurt McCains campaign. It would just be Obamanation's speed to have young minds full of mush as undercover agents to pull stunts like this.
