Florida congressman points to Palin to rally Jews to Obama
Rep. Alcee Hastings denounced hunters and gun owners as racists and anti-Semites, and by implication beer-swilling NASCAR-watching pickup-truck-driving redneck white trash. This is consistent with Obama's own description of Pennsylvanians as "bitter" small down people who "cling to guns and religion," and the common reference to working people as "white trash" on Obama's own Web site.

“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.
After telling attendees that the most important thing Jewish and African-American Democrats could do to support one another was to get Sen. Barack Obama elected president, Hastings had one more message: “For those of you like me that supported Sen. Hillary Clinton, she lost! Get over it!”

Alcee Hastings Impeached Federal Judge
Congressional Rep. Alcee Hastings was a federal Judge.
In 1989 Democratic Rep. John Conyers served as the chairman of the House Judiciary subcommittee that investigated Hastings who was charged with taking bribes.
Conyers and the subcommittee unanimously recommended that Hastings be impeached. The charges were heard by the House and they voted 413 to 3 to impeach Hastings.
Conyers went on to serve as one of the House impeachment managers who successfully argued before the Senate that Hastings should be convicted and removed from office.
Hastings was stripped of his position as a federal judge for conspiring to extort a $150,000 bribe in a case before him, repeatedly lying about it under oath and manufacturing evidence at his trial.
In 1992 Hastings was then elected to serve in the same Congress that impeached him.
In 1999 he made a run for Governor but didn't get very far.

It also doesn't say much for some of the people appointed as federal judges. I bet Hastings was a Carter appointment. His statements are also another example of the anti-White racism that is becoming more and more evident in the Black community.

Didn't Hastings try to switch to Obama when it became apparent hillary wasn't going to get the nomination ?
