These NRA ads are really good. They are simple and to the point without being spectacular. Yes, I bet the Obama campaign hates them because they speak to all gunowners. That is a big chunk of the population.

Obama's strong anti-gun stance as an Illinois state senator cannot be hidden. His votes against gun ownership are going to haunt him this election.

Biden-bama both have abysmal records on Gun Control. Like Kerry in 04, in fact every election of recent memory the left has always claimed they had nothing against HUNTING. They totally miss the idea behind the Second Amendment, the right of all citizens to be safe and secure in their homes and the right to self defense, against one person or the Government. This is what scares the hell out of the left when they think of guns.

Hunting is a by product of the Second Amendment not the purpose of the Second Amendment.

The Democrats don't miss the idea or concepts behind the 2nd Amendment, they know all too well it blocks their totalitarianism, as it was designed to thwart.

Look about at those countries who have parted with their firearms. Do any of them bask in a republican form of government? Hardly, they are either, Socialists, Constitutional Monarchies, or Dictatorships. Some or all a form of Fascism.

Going back to Yalta and Potsdam both FDR(D) and Truman(D) gave away Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union. It was a move that left most of the world under Communism and with the signing of the UN Charter the rest under some form of Socialism(D).

Let's begin with Hungary, 1956, only 11 years after domination and disarmament by the Soviet Union they revolted against Soviet troops and Soviet tyranny. October 25,1956 due to a curfew and sparse information about what was happening the Soviets staged a massacre in which at least 100 Hungarians were killed and 300 wounded, this galvanized the insurgents, in the following revolt the Hungarians led by Nagy a statesman with foresight, who was fighting for human freedom and to tell the world the truth.

The Hungarians had only their pitchforks and their bodies to resist the Russian suppressors. Tanks that were easily trapped in Budapest's narrow streets, becoming sitting ducks for homemade Molotov cocktails. At other times, outnumbered young fighters invented cheap and effective countermeasures. They placed frying pans in the roads to resemble anti-tank mines and poured oil in front of the tanks as they rolled by, thus igniting them. They burned the Russians alive and killed those escaping in hand to hand skirmishes. The burning tanks then made good barricades. They lost the battle of course but it was because they were disarmed years earlier. From 1956 through 1961 the Soviets systematically executed those Hungarians involved in the revolt, thousands of them.

Step forward to Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand, people much like us in culture and language, they have been disarmed, yet it's the criminal who rules in all those countries, a mere month ago there was a beheading of a sleeping passenger on a bus in Canada, one in which not a soul attempted to stop the assault or render aid to the victim, they are addled sheep, too dumbed down to even render the basics of self protection.

Conversely we have the armed citizen who is a deterrent to the criminal, rest assured that they or our own police would be an any time walk in visitor if we weren't an armed society. Rest assured the Janet Reno's of the 'party' would be making that middle of the night Elian Gonzales raid if they knew you were disarmed.

Obama would like nothing more than to disarm the U.S. citizen, its the goal of the Democrats and the UN, it was the stated goal of John F Kennedy(D) who submitted public law 87-297 into our system.. Remember it's the 2nd Amendment that protects all the others. What we call Democrats are nothing but Communists trying to take away our Constitution and our Bill of rights.

Mark, your right, they sure don't get it or maybe they do and just use hunting as an excuse to go afetr the NRA. Not a god idea there are many Dems that love to hunt but even more importantly they also have guns in their homes to protect their families.

It has always been weird to me how the far left think that the rest on the left will always agree with them. I gues that is why there will be so many dems voting for McCain too because they are not as far to the left as Obama wants to take our country.
