No one is taught anymore that Old Glory is our symbol of who we are as a nation. So they just casually toss a plastic flag in the trash like an old fry bag and think nothing of it.
They don't know you can't touch it to the ground or defile it. Yeah, I pretty proud of that old ragged flag. She means the world to me. I notice, too, on our block on holidays, it's us "older" folks who fly our flags, not the younger folks. Some don't even have a flag.
There should be a flag on every home of every patriotic American!

This is no surprise to me, when the democrat congress calls Bush 'Hitler'. another democrat Senator refers to our troops as Nazi's, or soldiers of Pol Pot, another accused them of War Crimes, the trashing of our flag is just a part of their nature.

The thing to do is to beat the hell out of them this November, and destroy the joke of a candidate they are running. This will literally 'Kill' them.

Sad, but not surprising. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had Obamamerica flags. He's tried to change everything else with his own symbols. Maybe 50 little pictures of himself replacing the stars. He is sickening and so are most of the Democratic politicians. I'm not a huge McCain supporter but he appears to be the lesser of the 2 evils.

Action speaks louder than words, now we know what Obama was holding in that disgusting photo of his flag disrespect, that package was - Biden. How about all that "green' convention trash they left strewn about at Invesco Field. Shed that phoney tear Ironeyes, the phoney indian. Gone to Chernobyl WT, as I leave, there are strong rumors of Palin as McCain's pick, hope so!!!.

The flag is not revered by democrats. American traditions are abhored by Democrats. They worship socialism with multicultural customs rather than American nationalism.

At best, Obama inspires people to disrespect the flag. At worst, he inspires them to hate the country and see only bad in what we are. To me, that's unpatriotic.

Yes, and what an unbelievable waste! Why couldn't they be saved and given to veteran's homes, VFWs, etc. to be placed on the Veteran's graves? Just unbelievable waste!!!! And this is the president nominee who vows to save and help our economy!!!!!!

Not surprising to anyone who really hears Obama's message. His message of "change" continually rears its ugly head through acts such as this. Maybe Oprah will air their rebuttal of the story?
