These guys are working their way back into Connecticut, mostly in the pricey areas where lefties live. Good. Black bears aren't generally dangerous, but they're powerful, confident, and intolerant of bullshit. Conservatives, that is.
But thanks to the same lefties, we now have an infestation of coyotes...they were "reintroduced" to fill the wolf niche and to reduce the number of sick deer. What they ended up doing is seriously reducing the number of pets, and occasionally attacking small children. Thanks again to the meathead Greens.

Thanks WT, that's so funny, doesn't look like the hammock was damaged. I had momma and two cubs spend the afternoon in my pickup bed, napping after they'd torn up my cooler. Lesson learned, put the cooler in the locked cab on the seat. Rhod is spot on, I have a friend in Bethel, CT that has the same problem. There was a big bear killed less than a mile from me last month while trying to push open someone's back door.

Rhod, thanks for sharing about this. I rememebr how the coyotes were when I was a child and we would spend a few weeks in the winter in AZ. My Dad was always telling us to be careful and how they were not nice doggies to adopt.
