Obama's $845 billion U.N. plan forwarded to U.S. Senate floor
The U.S. Senate soon could debate whether you, your spouse and each of your children – as well as your in-laws, parents, grandparents, neighbors and everyone else in America – each will spend $2,500 or more to reduce poverty around the world.
The plan sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is estimated to cost the U.S. some $845 billion over the coming few years in an effort to raise the standard of living around the globe.
S.2433 already has been approved in one form by the U.S. House of Representatives and now has been placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar for pending debate.
The proposal demands the president develop "and implement" a policy to "cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, debt relief" and other programs.
Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media has published a critique asserting that while the Global Poverty Act sounds nice, the adoption could "result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States" and would make levels of U.S. foreign aid spending "subservient to the dictates of the United Nations."
The plan passed the House in 2007 "because most members didn't realize what was in it," Kincaid reported. "Congressional sponsors have been careful not to calculate the amount of foreign aid spending that it would require."
A recent statement from Obama's office noted the support offered by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
"With billions of people living on just dollars a day around the world, global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges and tragedies the international community faces," Obama said. "It must be a priority of American foreign policy to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter, and clean drinking water. As we strive to rebuild America's standing in the world, this important bill will demonstrate our promise and commitment to those in the developing world."Our commitment to the global economy must extend beyond trade agreements that are more about increasing profits than about helping workers and small farmers everywhere," he continued.

Insanity!!! spending money to bring Freedom to Iraq and raise the standard of living in Iraq is bad. But just giving money to a corrupt organization like the UN or simply giving it to corrupt dictators who will continue to repress and, gulp, actually torture (real torture, not loud music torture) is just fine and dandy.
The United States is already the most generous nation on earth when it comes to helping the world’s poor.
The communist Obama wants to give our money away. This bill (and this man) must be stopped

Why do I have to combat poverty in other nations?
Don't we have enough of it here to worry about?
And who's goofy god awful idea was it originally to put the UN here in America?
Kick them to The Hague--that's where they have the war crimes, so why not? It's a perfect place for those arguing idiots. They never have solved a real problem in my eyes and they think they run this nation and they don't.
So why should my tax dollars go to help someone in some foreign land who will only turn around and blow me to bits when I'm not looking?
I'm sorry for the poor children around the world, but I think we need to heal this nation first. Our kids come first. Then maybe we can think about those nations who are our allies and those we want to be our allies.
If he wants to spend this kind of money, give it back to us hardworking Americans as a way of helping us out of poverty. God, he is so full of crap, isn't he?

This was in the latter part of the article. This is the end of the constitution and our rights as we know them. This is how obama feels about the United States and our way of life. This is what Obama thinks about the second amendment, and probably about the rest of the Constitution.
The above is what the real Obama is about. His move to the center is nothing more than political posturing for the 'White-vote', to let us think...'Hey he's not so bad'... he is pure evil, a scripted, empty-suited automaton, programmed by the master of all evil George Soros.
The so called war on poverty started 42 years ago, to eradicate poverty here in the United States, we have not even made a dent in the war on poverty here, but we are still paying taxes for it and Trillions of dollars later, it still hasn't worked.
The bill is going through the Senate NOW, and if made law, ...hopefully Bush will veto it, but the next president is likely to sign it. ... will increase our taxes by 2500 dollars, but that is only the beginning, this is only one of Obamas dim witted ideas, that we will have to pay for. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
We will not be working for us but for the government and all of its corrupted policies and give aways.
This is Socialism/Communism of the highest form and this asshat obama is leading the charge right down the dark tunnel to oblivion. No more the shining city on the hill it has been replaced by Obamahood.

I posted this back on 5/24 in under the title "The New World Order, the UN and global taxes." What he will do is lower our standard of living so as to be more equal with the third world countries. This NWO thinking is getting more and more universal among politicians and the elite. Obama is very dangerous.

Pure socialism. Our own elected politicians plan to turn us over to the UN and the Hague. They will nullify the US Constitution, one of the greatest documents giving freedom to mankind.
I notice the plan also includes a Green/carbon tax to aid in shifting wealth and also a provision to disarm us so we cannot fight the take over and take away.
It seems that we are hopeless to stop this nonsense. I am a bit surprised to learn that President Bush signed on to the original UN blueprint of this anti-poverty plan. Maybe this is what he was backing at the G8 conference when he announced a multi billion dollar aid package to fight poverty in Africa.

I can't wait to hear Obama's explanation about how all of this money will come from the rich who are exploiting the country and not from either the middle or poverty classes of people. If all of Barack Obama's campaign programs get implemented the Useless Nations (UN) will have to take a global collection to reduce poverty in the United States.
