Michelle Obama: Spend $600 stimulus check on earrings
Barack Obama's wife quipped that the $600 tax stimulus check could be used for a pair of earrings.
Mrs. Obama said in Pontiac, Michigan, Wednesday that if her husband is elected he will offer more than a "quick fix" on the economy.
"You're getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month," she said. "The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings."

Or maybe she could use the $600 bucks as a downpayment to Jesse Jackson to get her husband's nuts back or a bribe for Jackson to leave'em alone.
Edwards is so obscessed with his hair, wouldn't it be a hoot if someone loaded his hair spray with a depilatory and we can watch with glee as he combs his hair and huges clumps come out with each stroke of his comb... now that would be funny... that would be justice.

She's probably upset because they made too much to get a rebate. And her priorities are all screwed up. If you're paying $600 for earrings, you don't have it right. You can get fake for less than $15. There are so many out here who worked hard in college, too and ended up with minimum wage jobs. She got lucky. She didn't learn anything from her parents, who apparently struggled to give her a good life. She's got a charmed life and acts like the bratty, snooty biddy on the block who has her nose in everyone's business and tells us how to raise our kids and turns us in for disciplining our kids in public.
Money might buy happiness, but it sure don't buy class.

Cheryl, I agree and you know what. The people I have known that do spend that kind of money on earings etc. they do not say such things and would never have said something like that when she knows darn well those listening to her could never afford to do such a thing.
There is no way someone like Cindy McCain would even think of saying something like that.
Plus Michelle has never done anything for anyone else like other well off people are known to do.
