July 4th God Bless You All






The Declaration of Independence In Congress, July 4, 1776



"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain Inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Thank the good Lord for people like Adams (that miniseries is on HBO today--the whole thing!), Jefferson, Washington, Franklin and the Patriot soldiers who fought so diligently for us. Who saw the need for something better in all of our lives. We can't just go and throw all that away. Once it's gone, it's gone and you don't know how well you had it until it's gone.
Thank God we live in a nation where I can say what I want and you can say what you want. Last night, driving home from work, I saw a most disturbing sight--a very thin lady driving a Prius littered with anti Bush, anti War, anti American bumper stickers! They were all over the car! (good luck selling it!) and she was puffing away on a cigarette, yelling on her cell phone with her kid in the back seat. Thank God I can shake my head in shame. I thought it was terrible to push an agenda like that. Wonder how many times she gets the "bird?"
God bless our freedoms! Let's not push them away.

Just think that 232-years ago today, 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence put their signatures 'on the line' and their patriotism shined forevermore...from the heart!

We owe the generation that gave us the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Yorktown. We owe all previous generations for keeping those freedoms and building a mighty nation. I hope this generation does not squander these great and costly gifts.

We are fortunate that the country was not founded by the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Hussein Obama, and their Democrat cohorts. For, if it was, we would have ended up with a Declaration of Dependence and a Constitution of big government responsible for every part of everyone's life.

God bless America and Happy Birthday to the country that we do have. It is a winner and something to be proud of.

Les, big smile yes it sure is, there is no other country in the world like America. Your right too about if it had been up to Pelosi, Reid and others. Nothing would be like we have had it nor the greatness.

This is the portion of the Constitution that so many young people do not understand.
We, the people, the parents, are responsible for educating our children in what they have to lose. Lose they will if this downward spiral is not stopped! The liberals with their social(ist) programs, while promising much, actually deliver nothing short of a form of slavery and dependency that has eroded these founding principles.
It seems that today's youths believe, no, they are taught in our publicly funded schools that they should receive something for nothing. They are taught that the government will take care of them, which is why I believe so many young people are falling for BHO and his lies. Nothing will be farther from that, if BHO and his cronies are allowed to have their way with America.
WE THE PEOPLE need to, make sure that our freedom is not diluted by empty speeches of hope and change! We need to show our young people that there is hope, but not the kind of hope that is being peddled from the podiums and broadcast day in and day out in our media.
Our children need to know that America as we know it is in danger of being lost forever, if they do not step up and challenge the ones who would like nothing more than destroy her.
