Backlash: 2 Million Angry Democrats Reject Obama
Backlash: 2 million angry Democrats reject Obama?
More than two million angry Democrats are rejecting Sen. Barack Obama as the likely Democratic nominee for the presidency this year, according to a new protest organization.
"I hate to use this word but it's fascist, and that's the approach they're taking to silence any Hillary Clinton supporters," Will Bower, co-founder of PUMA/Just Say No Deal, an exploding coalition of voters who say they have raised $10 million in just days to pay down Clinton's campaign debt.
"Barack Obama wants to give his acceptance speech in a stadium because he intends to minimize any pro-Hillary supporter dissent. It's not because he wants to include more people. He knows that if they pull any shenanigans at convention, the Hillary delegates will walk out, and they don't want that to be seen or heard. They're bringing as many Obama supporters as they can to fill that stadium. It's fascism," he said.
The voters who still are supporting Clinton are doing everything they can to make sure that doesn't happen, raising an estimated $10 million since Independence Day to retire her debt.
Nearly 18 million people voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 presidential primaries and many of them believe their candidate was cheated out of being the Democratic nominee for president.
Now more than two million, based on donation and other records, are determined to protest the nominating process and push for an open convention in Denver this August.
"The seeds of discontent for the birth of the PUMA/Just Say No Deal movement were planted during Barack's poor performances at the debates, the media assault on Clinton after Iowa, Obama's arrogance on the campaign trail, and the DNC's selective application of its own rules," Bower explained.
"We said we are not falling in line just because Obama and (David) Axelrod and the DNC were saying 'All right, this is over, let's all get behind Barack Obama.' There are plenty of us out here saying, 'No this is not over. You have treated us very unfairly and in fact, anti-democratically,'" he said.

That's 2 million DEM GOP votes + Ralph Nader's 3% = President McCain in three and a half months!

Obamanation has turned off just about everybody. He's just not right in the head. He claims to be for the poorer man, but he lives in a mansion that he got financial breaks on to get. Does the ordinary man get that? Never.
I hope to God that those two million and probably others put their money where their mouth is and vote for McCain and don't just sit on their butts and do nothing.

I read sme of the comments at that site. Those Hillary supporters are saying the same thing Conservatives are saying. Maybe the Obama campaign will derail at the DNC convention in Denver.
I also wonder how many votes Bob Barr will siphon off from McCain.

The big question I have is, what is really going on with Hillary. Half of her money-raisers are now talking to McCain. They are really 'pissed' at the DNC and Howie Dean.
Now Hillary went to a, I think, Womens conference breakfast with Obama, but other than that her support of Obama has been luke warm at best.
The disenfranchisement of a couple of million voters is for real and their are some angry people out there, that nobody is addressing or taking seriously. Couple that with Obama's 'new' beginning to wear off and becoming very boring, teleprompter or not. same old Change crap with no substance. Not to mention a do-nothing democrat controlled congress that can't accomplish anything and their flat refusal to even consider any new oil options.
This is like mixing a pint of Ice cream with a pint of dog feces, it still tastes more like dog feces than ice cream and this is what the democrats have offered. Dog feces flavored ice cream and they call it change.
Strip away all the bluster, I think the dems are in serious trouble.

This is a very dangerous election year and conservatives and Republicans should be very concerned about the process and the outcome. Barack Obama and his staff ran a very skillful campaign to win the necessary delegates to get the Party's nomination. They are doing the same strategy for Electoral College votes in November.
The country is very polarized and all Obama needs to do is win a few "Red" states in addition to the normal "Blue" states that always go Democratic and he becomes President. This may not be all that difficult to do with all the new and young voters who have come to his side for "Change". Add to that the conservative voters who will stay home before voting for McCain the RINO and Obama winning a few "red" states may not be all that impossible.
When push comes to shove in the voting booth more Dems will stick to their Party line and reject McCain (a Republican) than will vote for him. McCain can't muster the Reagan Democrats to vote for him.
So, before we celebrate Obama's current troubles a lot more work has to be done to expose him for the danger and fraud that he is.

We can hope that the Dems do enough infighting so as to derail Obama's path to the White House.

2bornot2b?, yes if they stay made enogh at Obama.
McCain may be elected by more dems and independents then actual Republicans or conservatives. Not positive but it could be the final count.

Lynn, yes for two people ( Barack and Michelle) that have gotten a huge hand in the help area they sure complain a lot.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 13, 2008 11:22 PM
Cheryl, OMG I didn't know about that. Hahahahhaa
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 13, 2008 11:27 PM
Tom,yes there is that too.
I can't imagine a real live conservartive voting for Bob Barr. With his stand against the Patriot Act and his going and joining the ACLU lawyers that really turned my stomach on that guy. I sure hope people are not fooled by Bob Barr just because he is not a dem, he is no conservative.

Mark, that is a good example.
I don't recall Hillary doing much at all. So that is the only thing she has done like you said that women's conference breakfast.

Les, the worse thing would be if Obama wins big time and gets a mandate. I think that is how it is spelled.
I agree I wish more people would post about Obama at their blogs. Just posting all the things here and the other blogs that do too is not enough.

Always On Watch, yes I hope so.

Hillary is NOT finished IF McCain is our next president. Hillary can run again in 2012. If Obama is elected, the Clintons are finished! McCain will win in November and Hillary runs again in 2012!! The Clintons are all about POWER - period!
