Michelle Obama Under Fire for 2004 Letter Defending Partial-Birth Abortions

Michelle Obama, the attorney wife of pro-abortion Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, is coming under fire for a letter she wrote defending partial-birth abortions. The 2004 letter, written to help Obama in his campaign for his U.S. Senate seat, opposes the ban on the abortion procedure.
In February 2004, Michelle Obama penned a fundraising letter to help her husband Barack raise funds for his Illinois-based Senate seat.
The letter contends the federal ban on partial-birth abortions "is clearly unconstitutional" and "a flawed law."
Though the three-day-long partial-birth abortion procedure involves the partial birth of a baby during the middle trimester of pregnancy and the jamming of scissors into the back of her head to kill her, Obama's wife describes it as "legitimate" medicine.
"The fact remains, with no provision to protect the heath of the mother, this ban on a legitimate medical procedure is clearly unconditional and must be overturned," Michelle Obama writes in the letter.
She also said the Bush administration should not encourage the abortion practitioners who sued to reverse the ban to drop their lawsuit to make it unconditional. The Supreme Court later sided with Bush and Congress in saying the ban is legitimate.
In closing, Obama told prospective donors that they could "count on" Barack to "keep the Bush team from appointing the Supreme Court justice that will vote against Roe v. Wade."
Noted pro-life advocate Jill Stanek highlighted the letter on her blog and said Michelle was "leeching off the partial birth abortion ban" to raise funds for her husband.
"I'd like to ask Michelle to explain her legal opinion about this law the Supremes went on to declare constitutional," Stanek said.
"I'd like to ask Michelle how in the world she could in good conscience raise money from fear-mongering about this barbaric abortion procedure," she added.
Stanek pointed out that Barack Obama recently issued a warning to "lay off my wife" after she came under fire about an unrelated issue.
Stanek said the request amounted to "Free speech for me but not for thee" -- something she called "a typical left-wing position."
"So it's fine to kill late-term babies, but we can't risk hurting Michelle's feelings about it," she added.

Black which used to insisted on being called (African-Americans till this election) enthusiastically support abortion of all kinds. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, was a devout racist. And there is no ethnic group that has lost more innocents since the act of abortion has become legal. Abortion has been a terror on the black community.

It's funny how if we say something they consider derogatory, they'll throw a fit and cause mischief and mayhem, but if they say something derogatory against us, we turn the other cheek and ignore the stupid person. Who's more mature here?
He wants to be President, so his wife is NOT off limits. His daughters should be, but they need to toughen up that outer skin of theirs. Get some Teflon coating. Risk is all a part of the business. You want to sit in the chair, take the risk. Let Bitchelle grow up and answer her own questions.
I guess they don't realize some of us "Whiteys" have some black in us from back in day and how many of them have white in them.

This is a great opportunity to take Barack Obama off message and to highlight his undesirable positions. By all means, report and share what Michelle says and does but don't let him get away with his silly game of "lay off my wife" to change the topic from what she said to him being a hero by standing up for his wife. Every time Michelle Obama says or does something stupid (a lot) turn it around and make it his position.
In this case, ask him if he thinks it is OK for the spouse of a U. S. senatorial candidate to exploit the sad and horrible procedure of partial birth abortion to raise money for the candidate instead of having a constructive and intelligent discussion to deal with such a sensitive and moral issue. Ask him if such a spouse has no shame.
When Michelle Obama said that because Barack was running for President it was the first time in her adult life that she was proud of the country, Barack Obama should be asked if running for President was the first time that he was proud of the country. He should also be asked all of the things that makes him proud of the country. Does he think it fair that every time someone doesn't like something about the country that they should not be proud of the country? I think that if Barack Obama is elected President I will proclaim that it is the first time that I am not proud of my country.

Michelle has been actively campaigning ever since Obama has been in politics. She has been motor mouthing a long time, so NO!, she is not off limits for critcism.
You would think that with all the "reverands" and all the churches that the Black community would be strongly anti abortion. But that community embraces abortion like it embraces drugs. If they did not have so many abortions I wonder how much higher their out of wedlock births would be.

The hypocrisy is just astonishing. Here Obama, voted against the death penalty for gang members while in the the State House.
Of all the abortion procedures 'Partial Birth' abortion has got to be the most brutal methods of Killing a baby. Even if the baby is breeched they first half to turn the baby around in the birth canal so it will come out head first in order to perform this procedure.
From pictures evan at the earliest stages one can certainly tell it is a human life. The constitution was written to protect Life, Liberty and the persuit of happiness. I can not find anywhere in the constitution where it says a woman has the RIGHT to kill an unborn child. The left has talked about the penumbra of the constitution, the essence of the document, that is where you find it. The constitution was written so that even I can understand it. It is not Rocket Science and Abortion of any kind is not in there.(period)
