McCain Loyal To America or Aztlan
Statement by John McCain on Cinco de Mayo and Announcement of New Spanish Website
McCain ENGLISH speaking website
ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain today issued the following statement on Cinco de Mayo as his campaign announced several new Spanish efforts:
"Cinco de Mayo commemorates an important moment in the history of Mexico's path to freedom. On this day in 1862, a small group of Mexican troops overcame overwhelming force to win the Battle of Puebla. Today, we join together to remember the sacrifice that these Mexican patriots endured, as well as the struggles of all those around the world striving for freedom. We recognize as well the important friendship that exists between our country and Mexico, and celebrate the many contributions Mexican-Americans have made to our society, culture, security and economy."
The Cinco de Mayo statement can now also be found on the Spanish section of the official campaign website at http://espanol.johnmccain.com, which the campaign launched today. This part of the website will feature regular updates in Spanish throughout the election.
Finally, as part of his commitment to talking with all Americans during this presidential campaign, the McCain presidential campaign announced that John McCain will attend the La Raza Annual Convention in San Diego on July 14, 2008.

And this list from Michelle Malkin's blog:
Top 10 reasons McCain should repudiate the National Council of La Raza
10. La Raza supports driver’s licenses for illegal aliens.
9. La Raza supports in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding US citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.
8. La Raza opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state, and federal authorities.
7. La Raza sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars, including the “Aztlan Academy” in Tucson, AZ, the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, AZ, and Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn.
6. La Raza gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), which the late GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood rightly characterized as “a radical racist group…[and] one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.”
5. La Raza opposes a secure fence on the southern border.
4. Former La Raza president Raul Yzaguirre, Hillary Clinton’s Hispanic outreach advisor said this:
"US English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks.” He was referring to US English the nation’s oldest, largest citizens’ action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States."
La Raza also pioneered Orwellian open-borders Newspeak and advised the Mexican government on how to lobby for illegal alien amnesty while avoiding the terms “illegal” and “amnesty.”
3. La Raza is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable TV networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves–in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes.
2. La Raza has consistently opposed post-9/11 national security measures at every turn.
1. The National Council of La Raza means The National Council of “The Race,” for God’s sake.
Their signature slogan, chanted at pro-illegal alien rallies from coast to coast, is “La raza unida nunca sera vencida.”
“A united [Hispanic] race will never be defeated.”
Wild Thing's comment........
La Raza, by definition, is a racist organization. don’t understand why he is even DOING this. Why is he pandering to non-citizens who cant even vote?
Unbelievable!
I keep trying to ignore him, but he comes out with new reasons just about every day to make people run from him.
Cowboy or Earp. GOP or Democrat. Republican ( forget about the Conservative part McCain passed that up eons go) or open-borders sell-out RINO.
`Johnnie Ringo’ couldn’t make up his mind.
.
....Thank you Mark for sending the link to me.

Clearly he doesn't care that La Raza makes the KKK look tame.
Very telling.

And he is a hard core gun grabber... And I am all for gun control, just like Wyatt and his Immortals, gun control, hitting what you are shooting at... THAT is the only gun control I support...

Ugh! This makes me want to PUKE! But what can we do, WT? The Defeatocrats certainly aren't any better; in fact, they're arguably worse. At least McCain understands the threat of radical Islam. I just don't understand why he refuses to understand the threat of brown supremacism. Again, ugh!

McCain is doing nothing at all to corral the conservative voters. At best he is outright trying to aggravate them rather trying to keep the conservative coalition together. I think he is convinced he can win the election without them(us).
If he keeps at this he will surely find out he still has a job in the Senate. With a smaller minority than they have now.
Then ...too horrible to contemplate, now. But it was a great ride while it lasted.

McCain figures he already has the conservative votes because he's the lesser of two evils. Figuring we'll vote for him, he's courting the Hispanics by favoring amnesty for illegals.

Jenn your right it sure is very telling. He might as well just scream out "I hate conservatives".

Texas Fred, hahaha good one, the gun control you are talking about is my kind of gun control too.

With three horses running in this race the Dems can't lose.

Seane-Anna, exactly McCain needs to realize this or he will only be making things worse if he become President.

Mark, I agree so much with what you said, that is what it feels like, McCAin has decided he does not need the conservative and he is counting on the vote from us as the lesser of two evils. He has heard that saying I am sure and he knows we conservatives have used it in the past. So why bother with coming around to what we hope for or are concerned about.

BobF. LOL I am laughing because I just typed that to Mark.
Yes I agree Bob I really think that is what McCain is counting on from us.

Come November 4th, don't press anything for McCain the RINO and La Raza apologist for amnesty and open borders. He is just as dangerous as socialists Obama and Clinton.
