Human Shield Movement to Iran receives 10,000th pledge
The Human Shield Movement has announced it reached its 10,000th pledge member. The lucky guy to sign on as a Human Shield Volunteer number ten thousand is Steven Morris from Birmingham UK. Morris has pledged to use his body as a “human shield” against an “attack on Iran” from “neo-con” President Bush.
Steven Morris, the 10,000th pledge member of the movement said today
"I am fully committed to going to Iran to try and stop an attack on Iran. I demonstrated against the Iraq war and it made no difference. Having ten thousand Westerners will make the war-mongers think twice before they attack Iran. I do not support the Ahmadinejad regime but if we ignore international law and start bombing a sovereign nation that has not deviated from its obligations under the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and offers no direct threat to any nation, the world will be an much more dangerous place."
A spokesperson for the movement, David Tyler said today;
"Travelling to Iran as human shields is the 'last resort' but it seems that an attack on Iran is not just a real possibility but an imminent reality. The military and political maneuvers all seem to point to one thing, The unproven allegations that Iran is arming insurgents in Iran, the labeling of the Revolutionary Guard as terrorists, the increased military spending, the build up of forces on the Iranian borders and the unverified and unverifiable claims about Iran's nuclear weapons program have left us in little doubt that time is running out. Traditional methods of protest are ineffective in the face of the neo-Con determination to implement their global vision. "
"We now have our 10,000th pledge member and whilst we recognize that many of these people will not be able to actually travel to Tehran, many have already arranged Iranian visas and are ready to travel to Iran at short notice. None of the shields want to die but all are unwilling to sit by and wait for politicians to launch another disastrous war in their name. It is up to each and every one of us to do everything in our power to prevent a dangerously misguided foreign policy. Many people cannot join the movement because of commitments to family and dependents but it is incumbent on all of us to do something to our opposition to war which will once again be carried out in our name."

LOL....You can’t make this stuff up! Tell me then: What’s the downside of an attack on Iran’s nuclear weapons program? We destroy an evil regime’s WMD and rid the world of tens-of-thousands of mindless peacecreeps in one fell swoop! BRILLIANT!
None of these “10,000” would lift a hand to defend their own nations against Muslim intrusion, but would gladly die for Iran...I can’t even imagine how truly warped liberals really are - how they can even think the way they do....good riddance to moronic fools.

Perhaps the military can arrange transportation for these people. Drop them into Iran and forbid their return to any other country. The more the merrier. I'm sure President Amanutjob would be happy to have them in Iran and treat them hospitably. This could be a new "secret weapon" overrun Iran with human shields just as we are being overrun with illegal immigrants.

Actually, this might be a good idea. Out of the 10,000, quite a few will be infiltrators who can send coordinates to bomber aircraft. Since the "shields" will be at the most prized targets, this will ensure they get blown up. The Iranians aren't smart enough to figure this one out.

But wishful thinking aside, it these prima donnas are in place and Iran decides to attack Israel do the 'donnas' really believe that the Israeli's won't respond? tenfold ?
I knew there were people out there without a life but never realized there were so many of them. It is just as well they are useless to us so why not ship them ahead of schedule. Hell we can advertise in the New York Times for more mal-adjusted nincompoops to join the donnas already in place.

Iran has had it's stinky little fingers in every Middle East conflict for as long as I can remember, so they deserve every bad thing that comes their way. I remember watching the Iranian Hostage Crisis as a high schooler and being just furious over it! Even though the Shah wasn't all peaches and cream, the Ayatollah and his cronies were worse.
Iran declared war on us then and they're still fighting it. They blame us for the Crusades from over 1,000 years ago, since we are descendants of those brave knights who beat them soundly.
No, human shield I will not be and none of us should be.

We need to support them as a humanitarian gesture, take a few C5A's to transport them and all the media and their press to cover the event of the 10,000 as they surround Tehran amongst their brethren then as the C5A's fly homeward bring in the B52's and saturation bomb Tehran with Moabs or better. They can start it all over here.

I wonder why none of these 10,000 people have gone to Israel to use their bodies as “human shields” against an “attack on Israel” from “Islamic terrorist” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He has already declared war on Israel on behalf of Iran and threatened to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons when Iran gets them.
The Human Shield Movement can start being human shields today in the town of Sderot in Israel already under constant rocket siege by Iranian supported Hamas. Bottom line, these terrorist supporting hypocritical phony anti-war peacenicks can put up or shut up.
