Sen. Barack Obama issued a statement this afternoon after a video tape emerged showing Father Michael Pfleger 'speechifying' from the pulpit of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
In the statement Obama said he was "deeply disappointed" in Pfleger after his sermon was captured on videotape showing the priest mocking Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and white people from the pulpit of Trinity, the home church of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Sen. Obama.
Rev. Pfleger issued his own statement about his Sunday, May 25th sermon: "I regret the words I chose on Sunday. These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama's life and message, and I am deeply sorry if they offended Senator Clinton or anyone else who saw them."

If? Did he just say "if" Clinton would be offended? Pfleger knew that his comments were going out over the Internet and he had to know what the reaction would be. That is like saying don't think of the pink elephant in the room.
Obama is going to be mighty exhausted from having to throw every single previous mentor/friend under the speeding bus.
It was obvious that the “worshippers” in that “church” were anything but offended. With all that cheering and whooping and hollering; it was a disgrace. Obama's “church” is more political than it is a church.
Obama's rolodex is crammed full of unsavory characters: Ranting race hustlers, unrepentant ex-terrorists, corrupt fixers, sleazy ward hustlers, Hamas fund-raisers...the list goes on and on.
What amazes me is how and why this jerk priest wants to be black so much, he does as much as he can to sound and move like Rev. Wright and a dozen other white haters that speak from a pulpit.
This is beyond belief. If McCain belonged to a church where ministers spewed hatred from the pulpit- and the congregation cheered them on, the media would roast him alive- every single day.

Obama has inadvertently done us all a favor. He's helped to rip off the mask of black sanctity and perfection in this country. For too long liberalism has promoted the ridiculous proposition that blacks are above criticism, on any issue.
All their destructive, self-generated social pathologies are ignored, excused or attributed to whites. Liberalism principle success in race relations is to have destroyed the black family, and created the sick conditions for Wright, his successor, and this crank fanatic priest.
Conservatives didn't create this cess pool. Liberalism and the parasites who thrive on liberalism dug the hole and filled it. It's time those of us who've been blamed for it got some relief. I'm happier every day stuff like this comes out.

Keep speechifying Father Pfleger, and keep the cameras rolling Trinity. The more America sees of these extreme nut cases associated with Hussein Obama, the more votes he loses.
The Catholic church does have trouble with some of it's clergy. This Father Pfleger is a real nut job. I was raised in the Catholic Church so I have paid the dues to say what I want to about it. If I was still a member I would quit just due to it's policy of encouraging illegal immigrants and harboring and sheltering them.
I have run across more Ex Catholics than practicing Catholics and that is largely because of the Church's liberal political policies. These Exs are still believers in God and Christ, but too many radical liberal priests and Bishops have turned these conservative minded people off.

Don't you think all of us here qualify for the same tax exempt status as the Bammer's Church? Why not? They are more political at Trinity than any political convention.
Interesting about the liberals in the Catholic Church, a friend's daughter is pulling her children from the same Catholic School she attended and sending them to another diocese because the school has succumbed to the same ills that public schools suffer. I read her letter to the Deputy Superintendent of Catholic Schools where she laid it out in plain English her reasons. You do not have to be Catholic to teach or attend a Catholic School anymore and she feels that the Church is capitulating to non Church members to curry their favor and funding, to the detriment of the fundamentals.
It all makes me wonder if the ills of society have inculcated the same hatreds and prejudices in the children that the Madrasas have in the Muzzies. Take the parent out of the equation and you have State sponsored Socialism or religious sponsored polarization and Balkanism resulting in enclaves not unlike Obama's 'Church'.
