They got that right about the Air Force...nothing less than a 3-Star hotel for our Boys in Blue.

Reminds me of the "discussions" my eldest brother (Naval officer) had with my father (USMC) about who was the most important. Thanks for posting this one...I needed the laugh.

I thought this was appropriate because the Marines always get a bad rap as far as, well just not being smart enough.
As an example, I read in Readers Digest, Humor in Uniform about a base that had Air Force, Navy and Marine personnel.
The local radio station catered to the base. One day the DJ was giving the time, and said, " for those of you in the Air Force the time is 4 PM, and for the Navy personnel the time is 8 bells or 1600, and for you Marines, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 4".
With this in mind I thought I would include this.

Too funny!!! I'm an Old Salt but since I was in the SeaBees, a lot of my friends are Marines. Whenever they would start getting on me about being rough and tough, I just asked them to look at their check and see who paid them......the U.S. Navy!!!!!!!!!! lol

LMAO!!! That clip didn't mention that they do it all with less, do it with hand me down obsolescence all the while they are up to their ass in muck and mud with hot sand blowing in their faces, close enough to their enemies to suffer from their bad breath. Thanks Mark.
Two of my favorite quotes:
No Marines, No Peace
Know Marines, Know Peace.
Marines Don't Suffer From Insanity
We Enjoy Every Minute Of It!

Jack here's another one, 'If the Army aint Sh*t-canned it, The Marine Corps aint got it.

Mark, "'If the Army aint Sh*t-canned it, The Marine Corps aint got it." that is exactly how I remember it. It was unbelievable what the Marines had along the DMZ and out in Ashau, I remember one duster that was dragged from one rathole to another, the guns worked nothing else did. Next to the Marines we were sucking hind tit too, I only knew of one other unit in Vietnam that had the Korean War vintage junk we had, even the Marines had diesel or multifuel trucks. We had all gas fired 5 tons, '53-54 vintage it was a blessing in disguise when we'd lose one, we'd get a hand me down Diesel. We'd have had M211 2-1/2 tons instead of M35A1's if not for the fact they shipped them all to third world countries. Always scrounging, many a part was scrounged not only for us but for our client, the Marines. Actually it was fun appropriating from headquarters of the 23rd Infantry Division supply, the bigger the A'holes were the bigger the appropriation was. The Seabees rewired many a generator and starter motor for us. We hauled that most prescious of all cargoes......beer:)

Bob ....giggle.... my Uncles represented each branch of service and the one that was in the Air Force would have said the same thing.
Big Smile.

John, haha yes
Nick was in the Navy and he said there were always stories back and forth of pranks done to each other with the Navy and the Marines. Nick made some good friends that were Marines.
He told me too that in the end there was a lot of respect even though they kidded each other a lot.
