We ask and they respond
They give up everything.
Home.
Family.
Comfort.
Life.
Why?
Attacked by demonstrators.
Attacked by media.
Vilified by spurious claims.
Crucified at every turn.
Why do they do it?
Maybe
Just maybe
It's because they truly are
The best of us.
Let us all remember that the next time we read the headlines that say otherwise.
Never Forget

They are true Americans. They are kids whose parents raised them right and taught them right from wrong and that serving one's country means something.
I come from a BIG military family, going all the way back to the French and Indian Wars. My family ALWAYS stepped up to the plate and served. Some came home, some didn't. But to be a proud American...now that's what I'm talking about.

Yes Lynn, they are True Americans but even more than that, they are True Patriots!! Too many people forget or choose to ignore the fact that our U.S. military is all volunteer!!! I remember when we went to an all volunteer service and everyone said we wouldn't be able to recruit enough men and women to defend this country. Well......they were wrong!!!! The men and women that serve our Country so brilliantly and respectfully, both past and present, are the Best of the Best!!!! I know many of them enlist to develop a career....the same as some decide to go to college.....but when called upon to step into Harm's Way and defend our principles of Freedom, they step up to the plate and say "Put Me In Coach" knowing full well that they may pay the ultimate price!!!! I remember the first time I put on a uniform how I felt!!! I finally understood the true value of Freedom!!! Were there times I was scared?? HELL YES!!!! But at 63 I would do it all over again in a heart beat!!!!!!
I wish I could be there now.....not for myself or any so called "glory" but to do my best to help protect as many of these young men and women as I could. And somewhere along the way, I would hope that I could help the people of an oppressive dictatorship learn and understand the beauty of True Freedom!!! Not because I want to impose my beliefs on them but so they can experience the Freedom of Choice!!! Something far too many in this country are willing to sell out to for the sake of being politically correct and not offending some slob asshole wannabe dictator!!!!
I am supposedly in my Golden (Hah!!) years but these magnificent military personnel are in the prime of their youth and have so much to offer this Country and the world!!! We owe them so much!!!! May God Bless and protect each and every one of them and give them the Wisdom to lead this Country back to Her Beautiful Greatness!!!!!!

The top one percent of America. Fighting for and protecting the other ninety-nine percent. Our military even protects the bottom one percent like the useless ones of Berkley.

There is no fighting man in the world like the American service man.
Who but Americans, would say, during the battle of Gettysburg, a young confederate was 'gut shot' and told his friend, while taking a last drink of water, to tell his father, 'I died facing the enemy.'
Or Uncommon Valor was common virtue. Or situation in doubt... but we will hold.
Nowhere in the world is this as common as with the United States Military.
But nowhere in the world, recently, last 45 years or so has any Military been so disrespected as ours. And this disrespect doesn't come from other countries but from our own country. And it comes from citizens who have never had to look into a dark night, and wonder if you will see tomorrow, or be wiped out by the next 'incoming'.
These are the people who want everything and expect not to pay for any of it. The people who hold this country in such contempt that they actually hate us who served.
I hate them back .

John thank you so much that was so beautifully put.

Tom oh and how I hate that our awesome military even has to do one thing to protect those like Berkely has. It makes me very angry. They don't appreciate it.

Mark, that was awesome thank you.
