I LOVE seeing General Petraeus on his visits to the troops. Looking at these photos I can feel his deep respect for them and the care he takes. We are so fortunate to have the General and all of our awesome troops defending our country and all they do.

I really admire Gen Petraeus. He is capable, successful and yet modest. Exactly the type of leader the military needs in Iraq. A good leader always pursues the mission and cares for his troops. Everything else is secondary. I was really glad to see Gen Petraeus called on to pick out the next generation of General officers for the Army.

In their rush to canonize past despots and tyrants as world leaders and place current despotic leaders above reproach I hope those Marxist minions of the left and in the media give General Petraeus his rightful place in history as a great leader of men. It is obvious to me that he has used his authority wisely and has accepted that responsibility willingly. It shows in how he cares for and is respectied by his subordinates.
Responsibility is the price of greatness.

The leadership skills and accomplishments of Gen. Petraeus towers over the resume-lite, mental midget, empty suit Dem presidential candidates, one of which, could end up being President and his Commander-in-Chief. What a country!!!
And, to think that Gen. Petraeus gets such loyalty and results without the promise of 72 virgins. That's real leadership.

Jack, thank you for the quote. I agree I can see a respect the soldiers have for him in the photo's and in the mail from them as well.
