Wild Thing's comment........
I would love to see more people doing something like this. I know sometimes a person will say, they can't just walk up to a service member, maybe out of shyness or even tremendous respect. But if they even did what this video shows it would mean a lot.
Over the years I have so many special experiences in meeting our soldiers just seeing them out and about and telling them thank you. It is like an opportunity of a moment in time that says everything to take that chance to just say thank you. Without them, our troops and our Veterans, our country is nothing.
.
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

I like this. My first instinct though is a handshake.

The sign is from ASL(American Sign Language) and the impression I got is that it is common and easily understood.
It is a damn sight better than the signs we got when we came back.
Handshake or a 'thank you' signed, it is the intent that counts, I think.

Excellent video!
I was on a plane trip several yrs ago, the captain announced that their was a Marine on board...we all looked around and starting clapping!
It was nice!
I thanked a new friend of mine on line, he was in the Navy; His response was...'Wow, you’re welcome. I think I can count on one hand the number of individuals that have ever actually thanked me.'
Thank them! I thank you guys! Thank YOU Mark!
God Bless the U.S.A.!

Tom, that has always been mine too. There have been times I could have done it this way when there was no way to walk up to them to shake their hand. So now I have two ways to thank them. big smile

Mark, thanks again, this will be very handy to know. I remeber several times it would have come in handy where there was no way I could get to the person to thank them.
