Hillary Clinton Set To Whir Across Iowa
Hillary Clinton Set To Whir Across Iowa
by Jason George
IOWA CITY, IA – It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a Hill-A-Copter!
Or so the Clinton camp has branded a helicopter that the candidate will fly around in during her "Every County Counts Tour" across Iowa, beginning Sunday.
Campaign staffers are calling the tour a five-day blitz across Iowa's 99 counties, but Clinton herself will only appear in 12. Husband/President Bill and "others" will hit the remaining 87 checkerboard jurisdictions that make up the Hawkeye State.
“In the final days before the Iowa caucuses, I want to tap into that spirit so that every voice is heard on caucus night for universal health care, a stronger economy and an end to the war in Iraq,” Candidate Clinton said last night in Iowa, according to a press release.
There was no word on the former president's mode of transportation, but given the recent ice storm in the eastern half of the state, a His-and-Hers helicopter combo might not be a bad idea.
He might also consider a dog sled, which Estes Kefauver used to cross snowy New Hampshire during the 1952 and 1956 presidential primary. (Kefauver, a Tennessee senator, often outfitted himself in a coonskin cap too. President Clinton rarely wore headgear on the trail, except a baseball cap when jogging.)
The dogsled stunt worked for Kefauver, at least in New Hampshire, where he won both times, before losing the nomination – again, both times – to Adlai Stevenson.
Wild Thing's comment........
Flight of the Valkyries playing as she flys in her chopper anyone?? hahaha
Or maybe one like this a solar powered chopper just for Hillary.
.
..... Thank you Les for sending this article to me.And the graphic of the Hillary witch. LOL Too funny!!!

It's well documented that Hillary treated the military personnel assigned to the White House like sh_t. If she gets elected I predict were going to see many top Flag officers retiring. I can't see any senior officer hanging around to be treated like a cockroach, except for the Wesley Clark types.

They are going to hit all 99 counties, but she is only going to be there for 12. What exactly is she committed to again, it sure isn't the people as she claims.
If she loses in Iowa and I truly hope she has a Howard Dean moment, then you will really see the donks start to devour their young.

Sorry for this Wild Thing, this may be a little off topic but it IS important. This is a copy of an e-mail I just sent to Huckabee after his outrageous statements yesterday. I'm pissed that this guy is being propped up by a media that would LOVE to see him as the republican nominee just so they can crucify him in favor of Hillary, Oprahma, or whoever the hell they choose. Please make as many people as you can aware as to what this guy is really all about. SHAMEFULL!!!!!
Mr. Huckabee,
I consider myself rather pragmatic in my approach to selecting a leader through these very difficult times. Athough you have some endearing qualities and currently are enjoynig a surge in your popularity, you have officially lost my vote with this...
“American foreign policy needs to change its tone and attitude, open up, and reach out. The Bush administration’s arrogant bunker mentality has been counterproductive at home and abroad. My administration will recognize that the United States’ main fight today does not pit us against the world but pits the world against the terrorists…
As president, my goal in the Arab and Muslim worlds will be to calibrate a course between maintaining stability and promoting democracy. It is self-defeating to attempt too much too soon: doing so could mean holding elections that the extremists would win. But it is also self-defeating to do nothing. We must first destroy existing terrorist groups and then attack the underlying conditions that breed them: the lack of basic sanitation, health care, education, jobs, a free press, fair courts — which all translates into a lack of opportunity and hope. The United States’ strategic interests as the world’s most powerful country coincide with its moral obligations as the richest. If we do not do the right thing to improve life in the Muslim world, the terrorists will step in and do the wrong thing…
Sun-tzu’s ancient wisdom is relevant today: “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” Yet we have not had diplomatic relations with Iran in almost 30 years; the U.S. government usually communicates with the Iranian government through the Swiss embassy in Tehran. When one stops talking to a parent or a friend, differences cannot be resolved and relationships cannot move forward. The same is true for countries. The reestablishment of diplomatic ties will not occur automatically or without the Iranians’ making concessions that serve to create a less hostile relationship…
Whereas there can be no rational dealings with al Qaeda, Iran is a nation-state seeking regional clout and playing the game of power politics we understand and can skillfully pursue. We cannot live with al Qaeda, but we might be able to live with a contained Iran.”
It is my intent to contact everyone I know and enlighten them that your intentions are to adhere to a form of the failed CARTER DOCTRINE that got us into this mess in the first place. In all your high minded surveys and polls to try and divine the mindset of the American people on foriegn policy toward Iran ,you may want to delve beyond the fact that yes, we are dissatistifed with our country's dealings with Iran over the years. However, we do not want another apologist or Iranian pacifier in office that is either so absorbed in denial as to validity of the threat they pose, or a person who would gamble with our National Security under a noble, but misplaced belief that if we're just nice to our world neighbors, God will reward us. The problem with that logic Mr. Huckabee is that Iran believes if they just destroy the US and Israel, Allah will reward them. It's time to wake up Mr. Huckabee, before the dreamworld you're in turns into our nightmare.
Respectfully
Please write this guy and tell him his plan to play footsie with Iran will not be recieved well in conservative circles.

I am getting antsy for these caucuses and early primaries to begin. The 2008 election began way too early and I am tired of all the rhetoric and posturing. On the Democrat side they are all frightening prospects to me. I really don't know whether Hillary or Obama would be the most difficult for a repub to defeat. My hope is that the Democrat primary will become so vicious, that they will kill each other.
On the Repub side I am very afraid and pretty sure that we will get one of the RINOs as the final candidate. Maybe Thompson will break through, but he doesn't seem to be really trying.
Posted by: TomR at December 15, 2007 11:43 AM
If it isn't Thompson or Hunter we're doomed.
Posted by: Billy at December 15, 2007 11:54 AM
The baggage of Hillary's past is dragging her down, the MSM can't keep the evildoings of this witch and her doodlbugging husband from the general public as it has in the past. Thanks Bloggers!!!
It doesn't matter with the Dems though, loyalty to corruption is blind, as long as there is a kickback anything goes.
Is it Obama or Oprah the fans are wooing? Hard to tell. It would be a kick if Oprah tossed her name in the arena and ran, just to take the wind out of their sails. Just wiggle a smegma covered celebrity in front of a democrat and they all swoon.
It' all smoke and mirrors, the Huckster is from the same state as the Clintons, both kneed the money, his title of 'republican' doesn't separate him far enough from the slime pit of Arkansas politics even if he does wear a reversed collar, no big deal so does Sharpton and Jackson. I peg Hucklebee at the same level as Jimmy Carter, in all respects. Thompson could be a shoo in if he'd just show some 'life', so far I see his participation as being there to support the front runners either to counter one or to reinforce one, no great ball of fire or zeal for the task personally.
Ron (Kucinich) Paul is nothing but a spoiler, his presidency would equate to FDR calling King's X during WWII, the death of Israel, then turning all sovereignty and security issues over to the UN, but isn't that Hillary's goal? Tancredo and Hunter, it's a long shot, they're too 'America first' for the fickle, 'let somebody else do it populace' that prefers the status quo. I'd vote for Fred but it's looking like it might be a write in ballot here with a Dim-O-Crat ending up in the Oral office. Wake up Fred, this isn't Kansas and that dog running against you isn't Toto, it's a bitch.

I agree, Jack, Huckabee is nothing more than myopic F'ngellical biggot like the rest of the Snake people. As Govenor of Arkansas he raised Taxes and was very soft on Illegal immigration,
Now suddenly he has changed his tune. As far as a candidate he is another Bush when it comes to Immigration.
As far as Hillary is concerned, she has got to have the worst case of 'Bed-head' I've ever seen on a political candidate.
I like Fred too, but sheesh, the guy is lifeless.

WT - Great job with the story and graphics. I still have two questions. Doesn't the Hill-A-Copter contribute to global warming? What happened to her carbon-free broomstick?
Holy global warming! Where is AlGore when you need him?
Top tier candidates from both parties are deservedly suffering from the early campaign start and early front-loaded primaries. People are sick and tired of them already as their positions and change of positions get passed around the blogosphere including You Tube links. They don't like a lot of what they see and hear.
There may be some interesting upsets in the near future.

Mark, YIKES LMAO if she has a Howard Dean moment and she has come very close, it would be heard all the way to the moon. She is one scary woman.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 16, 2007 12:11 AM
Hi Billy, that is ok no problem at all. I agree with you Billy. I am no fan of Huckabee.
