Sadly the last election has left me with the sense that the majority of the Republicans have bought into the Democrat's ideology of let the UN take care of our security. Perhaps they are from the same generation and mentality that has let others provide for their protection. Those appeasers who have never had to face an enemy in the open where their life depends on having to fight them instead of negotiating away their freedom in the hopes it will keep the enemy at bay.
Thankfully we have youngsters who volunteer to protect the nation in spite of the failings of the older generation.
What was it that John Kennedy said? He was a Socialist but he also loved the country.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.
My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."
That is unless you can get a draft deferrment or pay off someone to do your civic duty for you. Remember the attitude prevalent in all past wars, stupid people die for their country, let someone else do it. It worked for Ted Kennedy and his kin, most recently that leftist attitude applied to the death of Pat Tillman, vilified as stupid for putting the needs of the nation above the need for personal wealth.

Should we be concerned? I think so!!!

I'm tired of career politicians who aren't in it for me, but just for the salary and prestige.
once was a time when every man had to serve his time in the government and he did so proudly and without pay. It was his duty as a man. I think we've forgotten that. A man's job is to lead his family--whether that be teaching his children the Bible, Torah, whatever, loving his wife and caring for her and the children and being the breadwinner and serving his nation when he needed to.
