Iowa Concert To Support Gore For President Called Off
'Run, Al, Run' concert called off
washington times
"Iowans who support former Vice President Al Gore have been forced to cancel a concert in his honor. The $20 per ticket "Run, Al, Run" event, which I wrote about last month and was scheduled for Sunday in Des Moines, was called off because organizers feared they wouldn't sell enough tickets.
Peter Ryder of Cedar Rapids told me there are two reasons the rally and concert won't go on as planned, despite folk singer Paul Kaplan writing an original song in Gore's honor.
The idea was to "send a message to Al Gore there is a tremendous surge of feeling about you running, but after he won the Nobel Peace Prize, he really got that message pretty loud and clear," Ryder said.
Given the importance of Iowa for the declared Democratic candidates, "we felt it would be difficult to sell the number of tickets to make the whole thing financially viable," Ryder added."

A concert to "make" Al run? You have got to be joking! I'm just glad they couldn't sell enough tickets. That says we don't want Al or any other socialist in the White House.
Did you hear what happened with Hitlery? As she was walking by a row of flags, with no one even near them, 4 of them fell over--so either she's not going to win or she will and she'll make America fall forever. Scary, huh?

So Gore and these other money grabbing democrats are going to invest in NEW sources of energy. This is not good news. Wind power and Solar power and probably Cow flatulence.
We haven't built a new refinery in over 30 years. When Katrina hit it shut down a bunch of them in the Gulf Causing a sharp increase in oil prices and of course these morons blamed Bush for everything. This problem they started 30 years ago and it gets progressively worse. Now more government money will be spent on another folley of finding alternative fuels. Which of course we don't need.
What we need to do is start drilling for the resource we already know is there and become independant on foreign oil but that would make sense. And some stupid Bird may get killed in the process so we will sacrifice everything we have just to please a bunch of perverted Animal right whackos. While China and the rest of the world leave us behind chasing our tails trying to find a magic bullet that doesn't exist, at least for the next 25 years or so.
I swear these people want to turn the US into the next basket case country where we will be on par with the likes of Mexico and Argentina.
