Iranian general warns of Gulf suicide bombings

TEHERAN
A top general in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards on Monday warned that the Basij militia were ready ‘if necessary’ to carry out suicide operations in the Gulf, amid rising tensions with the United States, the Fars news agency reported.
‘If necessary we will take advantage of the element of martyrdom-seeking,’ said Brigadier General Ali Fahdavi, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards’ naval forces.
‘This spirit is prevailing now throughout the Revolutionary Guards,’ he added. The Basij militia is part of the Guards’ military apparatus.
‘They have taken an example from Shahid (martyr) Fahmideh,’ Fahdavi said,referring to 13-year-old Iranian Hossein Fahmideh who became a national hero after blowing himself up under an Iraqi tank in the 1980-1988 war.
‘The scene of the Persian Gulf and strategic Strait of Hormuz is such that even a small operation can have a big impact,’ he added.

The more terrorists who blow themselves up, the less we have to deal with,praying here they do it alone or among other suicide bombers.

The Iranians are itching for a fist in the face. What is kept quiet is how restless their (young) population is becoming. The mullahs are no longer in favor with much of the population which is looking more and more to the Western lifestyle. Some of those suicide bombers may just turn on their handlers.

Tom, Yes, there are a lot in the population that do not like what has been going.Many have been killed because of it. I would like to see us working with them to help get rid of the Iranian leaders.....somehow.

That graphic reminded me of a guy I once worked with, he was always in a rush, I was his helper that day, we had a gas fired boiler down and were trying to light it off, with the observation ports open Heber said light it off. Boom, his hard hat rolled across the floor. We adjusted the flame detector once more, again Heber looked into the port hole and said light it off. Boom, his hard hat flew once more, this time his hair was afire, his face a lobster red. I had no trouble getting it up and running while he was off to see the medic, he was bypassing the purge cycle. I'd love to send him to Iran, they'd be begging for peace by now.
