John Kerry Blasts Limbaugh Over ‘phony soldiers’ Remark

From The Hill, here's Senator John Kerry (D-MA) dishonestly blasting Rush:

Kerry blasts Limbaugh over ‘phony soldiers’ remark

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) on Thursday demanded an apology from conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, who called soldiers who oppose the Iraq war “phony.”

“This disgusting attack from Rush Limbaugh, cheerleader for the chicken-hawk wing of the far right, is an insult to American troops,” Kerry said. “Mr. Limbaugh owes an apology to everyone who has ever worn the uniform of our country, and an apology to the families of every soldier buried in Arlington National Cemetery.”

Wild Thing's comment........

This from a guy who asserted that our troops are “terrorizing Iraqi women and children in the dead of night," among the other things he has said and done!! Hmmmmm This from a guy that went to Paris to negotiate with the North Vietnamese while he was still a commissioned Naval officer! An act of treason for surr....yes THAT John Kerry.

Kerry has been riding the waves of a falsified Military resume for decades. F U John Effing Kerry.

Comments

John Kerry has eaten one too many ketchup packets and it's turned his brain to goo.
Soldiers need to realize that once you put on that uniform, you ARE America and you have to do what's right for the good of the nation and her people.
As a matter of fact, every one of us who didn't or doesn't join the military needs to realize that due to the Second Amendment, we ARE the militia. That's what the Right to Bear Arms is all about.
Should we be attacked, we have to stand our ground for our own towns, cities, homes and families.
We're the backup to the military.

Anyone with half a brain knows what Rush was talking about when he said "phony soldiers"; I guess that leaves out Kerry and Reid. Their are too many GI's and former GI's who are going about the country talking about their time in Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, or WWII but have never left the Continental United States. Many of these have perfected their stories so well that they even fool the top brass.

In the mid-90's their was a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant who claimed to be a survivor of the Bataan Death March. He had the full support of the top enlisted personnel and brass. He spoke at Air Force bases all over the US and was the guest of honor at enlisted functions all over the world. When his story was questioned by other survivors of the Death March, these survivors were publicly called liars by top enlisted leadership in the AF. It turns out this retired Chief was lying, having never been in the Philippines during WWII at all. This "Phony Soldier" was so convincing that he fooled the top leadership, all the way up to the Chief of Staff, a 4-Star General. On one bothered to question this man's service or story. Being a retired Chief (E-9) they took him at his word.

Not every man or woman who wears the uniform is honorable. If it were so, we wouldn't have a need for the Manual For Courts-Martial.

Lynn's statement about the militia is right on and BobF has hit the nail on the head about doctored war stories. I run into those stories on occasion at the VA even, and wonder if some of those guys were ever in the military. Turns out some were not. If you want to really get angry about "phony veterans" read a book titled Stolen Valor.

I don't listen to Rush, so this flare-up is all second hand to me. I have listened to the tape of that statement and, in context, it sounds like the Liberals are beating a non existant horse.

Irregardless, John Kerry gave up his right to criticise any American for anything after he committed multiple counts of treason. Kerry is one of the most vile pieces of crap in American history. Only a few Americans equal him in the harm he has done to American soldiers and veterans.

John F Kerry, disclose what is written on your original DD form 214, specifically lines 13a and 13b, then lines 22a, 22b and 22c then lines 24 and 26 inclusively, before you play that hero bullshit with us, you Communist traitor.

Until then you will have less than zero credibility with me. Taking what Limbaugh said and twisting it out of context is what you communists do best. Kerry you are breathing oxygen, occupying space, living at the expense of many who sacrificed for you to do so, then you stand at every opportunity to impugn them and their memory. Then you raise to this filthy occaision to attack someone who calls treason what it is, you John F. Kerry used phony soldiers in your attacks on us back then just as you do now.

What Tom said yesterday applies to traitors, "What's the school of the bayonet!", "KILL, KILL, KILL!!" , I'll rest once that bayonet pierces your heartless chest.

WT, your last line says it much nice than I ever could .

"They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country."

I just had to re-strike this one to make sure this was the same Hanoi John Kerry who is now demanding an apology from Rush.

Dickie Durbin say hello to your hero,... John Kerry.

When is John Kerry going to apologise to the soldiers at Arlington and the ones on the wall.

Rush was referring to Jesse Macbeth who lasted 44 days in the Army before being sent home, Then misrepresented himself as An Army Ranger and worst yet told similar stories like John Kerry did.

Jesse Macbeth was one of the 'Phony Soldiers' Rush was referring to. Just like Dan Rather who claimed he was a Marine, Rather was another one who lasted 10 days in boot camp before he got sent home.

Sadly, these Democrats know this and also they now this is a lie from the getgo. This is what makes it so bad.

But to keep it going from Senator after Senator is despicable. The problem for the demos. is Rush will fight back. He talks to a whole lot more people per week than the ones who watch C-span and watched little Harry Reid and the Communist Hanoi John Kerry slander Rush.

Also one of the Marines who was slandered by Murtha is suing Murtha and the Judge wants to hear what he has to say. Murtha's mistake was he said it not on the house floor,Where stupid speech is regarded as debate, but outside of the floor and therefore it is a slanderous remark. The Bush Justice department wanted to quash it but the The Marine's Lawyer won't let that happen.

Too bad the soldiers serving in Iraq can not sue Hanoi John Kerry with a Class Actin suit, afterall Kerry's remarks were said on 'Meet the Depressed.' About, 'Soldiers breaking into homes in the middle of the night.' This is also a lie a bald faced lie, again Kerry gets away with another one.

Didn't hear the show in question, but I read the transcript. Any idiot could have figured out he was talking about MacBeth and those like him. At no point did I think that Rush was besmirching our military. Kerry is a moron.

Lynn, LOVE your comment and it is absolutely right on target.

Bob wow, thanks for sharing about that. Amazing.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 3, 2007 12:06 AM

Tom, that book "Stolen Valor" is so excellent.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 3, 2007 12:09 AM

Jack oh how I agree, that's when I will rest too.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 3, 2007 12:12 AM

Mark, I would love for our troops to sue Kerry. He has made so many negative comments about them. And like you said he just keeps getting away with it every time.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 3, 2007 12:16 AM

razOr, yes he sure is a moron. It is laughable really, but it still ticks me off that they are trying to do this to Rush.
