Doctors and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues.
Health chiefs believe the sight of food will upset Muslim workers when they are celebrating the religious festival Ramadan.
The lunch trolley is also to be wheeled out of bounds as the 30-day fast begins next month.
But staff and politicians branded the move political correctness gone mad and warned that it was a step too far.
Bill Aitken, the Scottish Conservative justice spokesman, said: “This advice, well-meaning as it may be, is total nonsense.
“It is the sort of thing that can stir up resentment rather than result in good relations.”
The new guidance comes in the wake of the failed terror attacks on Glasgow and the death of suspect Kafeel Ahmed, 27.
Health chiefs in Lothian and Glasgow will give all employees time off to pray and to celebrate Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.
But Greater Glasgow and Clyde as well as Lothian NHS boards also issued the advice, warning workers not to take working lunches, and said all vending machines should be removed from areas where Muslims work.
One senior consultant said: “What next? Are we going to have advice on how to deal with Catholics during Lent? “This kind of thing does more harm than good.”
The guidance, which was sent round many organisations, was produced by Glasgow consultancy Meem, which advises on Muslim issues and counts the Scottish Parliament among its clients.

If you look at my sidebar on the right and scroll down you will see a counter, the one that keeps count of Islamic terror attacks, that damned thing increases every day..sometimes every hour. I point this out because this Islam is not about peace, prayers and just wanting to be left alone to worship their moon god Allah. It is about death and destruction and killing all infidels (Jews and Christians).
The more the U.K. or the USA or gosh any country gives in to their demands, their needs it is only going to make it worse and their demands will increase even more. We have seen it already countless times. Heck look at the innocent Piglet in the Winnie the Pooh books. A simple childs story and they had to make a big deal about it.
This nightmare of Islam has been unleashed on the world from the pits of hell and needs to be fought every step of the way.

Ya' know, the Marines have a "school of thought", as well as a way of life. It's called "Know Your Enemy". I believe that is precisely what the Mooslemmings are doing. They are testing the waters. They are "feeling" us out for our weak spots. By us, I mean the normal part of the planet.
They will someday "make their move" upon us. And then it will be TOO late. If anyone said I could not eat at my desk, there would be a MAJOR problem. We'd see how good Mr. al-McNugget looks wearing my Big Mac.

It's working.
Terrorism is working in Great Britain.

BobF is right. Terrorism is not only physical terror. It is every bit as much psychological warfare, as with CAIR.
Britain and Europe are a preview for America. We should be learning from what is occurring there. Instead we are playing a similar game of political correctness via granting Constitutional Rights to a sworn enemy. We are letting the enemy immigrate here in increasing numbers. The one big difference will be the reaction of American citizens. Our politicians may not have the fortitude, but the American attitude of justice and revenge live on in many American citizens. And we are armed.

Bob and Tom are right. We are dealing with an enemy that knows no boundary.
The left will not like Sharia Law, or the Honor Killings. A society where women have no rights at all, except to serve.
I have read where the left democrats, now want to put a punitive Tax on Ammunition, price it out of sight.
Like a lot of innovative Americans, a lot of people, Watashi-wa, re-load their own and it can be stock pile if necessary or passed out to the neighbors, if needed.
As stated above our leaders may be gutless, but some Americans, will fight for what we have earned.

I leave in less than 48 hours to visit my husbands family in London. I fear for my sanity, therefor have decoded not to watch one lick of news programming while there in order to remain sane.
I mean there you have a country who makes flying it's own damn flag agaianst the law so as not to offend the heathen Islamic terrorists. Nice.

The West has yet to learn an important fact about Muslims: They respect a strong man.

Mark I agree with what you said.
The left with all their we can use diplomatic talks with the terrorists etc. instead of fighting back, when Sharia Law happens they will not like it anymore then we will.
When I posted that other post about 4,000 leaving the UK all I could feel was no way would I leave America. I would stay and fight back. There is no way I would take the freedoms I have been given by our Veterans and not help fight back against those wanting to take them away from me.

Always On Watch yes, if we would be strong, really strong as a country and our leadership would take a firm stand, no weakness at all. I would be filled with hope.
Instead I only have that hope in other Americans like those on here and others that feel as we all do.

razOr, I looked it up and they have to starve during the day then they can eat at night or something. Shoot I did a diet once and ate no food at all for months, only protein drinks and I worked in an office of tons of people eating in front of me, office birthday's with cake and I never complained. Just said no thank you and that was it.
This has agenda written all over it, your right razOr.
