Good Example of Democrats Taking Responsibility For Their Actions
Democrats Blame Republicans and Bush for Low Approval
Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com)
Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Thursday blamed the Republican minority for sinking congressional approval ratings, calling recent poll results "a referendum on Republican obstructionism." Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) blamed President Bush.
Schumer told reporters that Republicans - who earlier this week blocked a Democratic amendment that would have mandated a troop withdrawal from Iraq, and who in June blocked a comprehensive immigration reform bill - are frustrating Americans who are hungry for change.
A Zogby telephone poll released Thursday showed approval of Congress "continues to plummet" and now sits at just 14 percent. Eighty-three percent of respondents gave Congress negative marks. The polling organization credited the low numbers to the "acrimonious scrimmage over immigration reform" in June.
"The American people are demanding change," Schumer said. "The one thing standing in the way is the Republicans in the Senate."
Reid echoed Schumer's frustration with Republicans but was also quick to blame Bush.
"When you have a president who is so unpopular ... it really reflects poorly on Congress," Reid said. "None of them [congressional approval ratings] are real high and we acknowledge that, but most of it relates to the unpopularity of the president."
Bush's job approval ratings in Zogby polls have been in the low and mid-30s since October 2006. This week it stood at 34 percent.
Reid's contention, however, jarred with the view of the polling company, which described Bush's job approval rating as having "stabilized" while saying that "opinion of the work Congress is doing continues to plummet."
Wild Thing's comment.......
Oh this is rich!
LOL it never fails does it. Any human being that is a lefty will always, 100% of the time blame someone, anyone else for his or her mistakes, for his or her committing a crime, for their failure, lack of success, or doing a bad job. In their “Groupthink” they are blind to their own failures, because as “Progressives”, as “Intellectuals” they are superior and cannot fail.

Obstruction of what? These knot-heads have done nothing but call for useless investigations, and issue subpoenas. The ratings of Congress were worse than the President’s even before the last election.
Schumer like both the Clinton's, like ALL the Democrats is proof that a human can live without a conscience.

No wonder our kids blame someone else when something bad happens--they see it all the time on tv.
This is how I feel--if Bubba had taken care of Iraq when the WTC was first bombed, or done something about the USS Cole and NOT sent us to Bosnia without bullets, or taken Osama Bin Laden from the Sudan when it was offered to him (3 times!) and if the democratic congress had let Bush Sr march on Baghdad during the first war, our kids wouldn't be over there today. Then he got involved in things he shouldn't have--does Ruby Ridge, Waco or Elian Gonzalez ring a bell? He made a mess of the Presidency.
I don't understand why everyone is so angry at Bush Jr for cleaning up the mess his predescessor left behind.
Democrats are do nothing, but spend money they don't have and tax working families and other Americans and businesses into the ground.
And they blame everyone but themselves.
Greedy bastards.

Of all the Presidents I have seen in my lifetime Bush has got to be the most assailed one of them all.
Everything in the country/world is his fault, and it is always bad. How stupid do the dems think the people are ? Amazingly Clinton was blamed for nothing and the excuse of 'it being a private matter' (When the President of the United States is being serviced in the White House on our time it is not a private matter.) and it rolled on and they looked the other way.
The democrats came into power last election saying they were going to change the world, they were going to FIX all that ails us ... Well Schmuckie we are waiting for the magic cure, the dems promised. When it doesn't happen it is always somebody elses fault.
These people are worse that a crooked used car salesman, they actually believe the crap the are trying to sell.

Lynn, yes, Bush came in with a total mess created by the Clinton's. Youre right Lynn, Clinton did not defend this country and Bush has wanted to. Thei hate for Bush is more then their common sense about how to deal with the terrorists.
Now we have the Chinese making their missels and they got a lot of the know how from Clinton giving it to them. Grrrrrr
