Sheehan Considers Challenge to Pelosi
CRAWFORD, Texas - Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized the anti-war movement, said Sunday that she plans to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unless she introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush in the next two weeks.
Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.
"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."
Sheehan said she lives in a Sacramento suburb but declined to disclose which city, citing safety reasons. The area is outside Pelosi's district, but there are no residency requirements for congressional members, according to the California secretary of state's office.
Messages left with Pelosi's staff were not immediately returned.

The dignity that eventually comes from withdrawing oneself from the public eye can’t be high on Cindy’s wish list. What next? American Idol? Filling Rosie O’Donnell’s spot on “The View?” Better yet, how about starring in an off-Broadway production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” as fallen Southern belle Blanche Dubois? She could utter the famous line “I have always depended on the kindness of strangers” and they could usher her offstage to the nice room with rubber walls where you can’t hurt yourself, even if you want to.

Please, please Pelosi. Do not file impeachment charges before 23 July. Please, please Crazy Cindy. Keep your promise.
This would make the overly long and drawn out election somewhat tolerable. Cindy would make even John McCain appear normal.

She is going to give Nancy P'losi a run for her money. Sheehan is broke isn't she, how far will the extreme looney left pay for the run.
She is really pathetic. She has alienated her family, friends are non-existant, but if it screws up the democrat party I am all for it.

But when they 'usher' her into the padded room, they have to strip her and do a bodycavity search to make sure she hasn't anything hidden she could hurt herself . Now who in their right mind would want to do that.

Barf!!!! Please do start the impeachment. Over 6 months of an anarchist do nothing Congress and this is what they are bent on. Let's get with it and spill a few guts, they'll end up with Cheney as boss and in the process maybe we can mount a lot of recall campaigns. Good God Mark, that's sounds worse than than stuffing back a prolapse.

She's cashing in on her son's death. She needs counseling so bad, but she'll never admit it.
Funny thing is, she didn't raise Casey. Her husband and his family did.
Why, oh why are we letting this fruitcake dictate terms to the Wicked Witch of the West.
Bush has not done anything worth impeaching him,unlike the previous inhabitant from Arkansas who lied under oath.
Cindy and her cronies can crawl back under the rock from whence they came.
