"I've 'fallen out of love with politics" ~ Gore
Gore: I've 'fallen out of love with politics'
NEW YORK (CNN) -- Former Vice President Al Gore said he has "fallen out of love with politics" and has no intentions of running for office again.
When asked why he wouldn't run for president again -- when presumably a president could shape an agenda to fight global warming -- Gore said those in power must have the support of the people to make it work.
"The key players are the American people," he said. "When the American people have the awareness of what this means for their children, and for their grandchildren, that all of civilization is at risk here, then they will demand that whoever is running for office, whoever is elected to serve, will have to respond to this."
Despite Gore's stance, many grassroots movements, with Web sites such as AlGore.org and draftgore2008.org, are trying persuade him to run.
"Americans from every corner of our nation are calling on you," reads a petition on Draftgore.com. "Please listen to our plea and run for the Democratic nomination for the presidency of the United States in 2008." The petition has has nearly 100,000 signatures.
"I've kind of fallen out of love with politics. ...Whatever experience and talents I've gained over the years -- I think it may well be that the highest and best use of that is to try to bring enough awareness of the solutions to the climate crisis and enough of a sense of urgency that we come together across party lines on behalf of our children," Gore said.
Wild Thing's comment..............
I guess he found out that selling B.S. to liberals is much more profitable. hahahaha
I will never forget how he had to bring in Donna Brazile to instrust him on how to be macho. LMAO too funny. I bet Hillary is happy about this decision of Gore's.

I imagine his tongue snapping out to catch a fly.
He's fallen out of love with politics because he's more in love with himself, and therefore not in need of "the system" to project his egomania.
I'm serious. This crackpot has stripped his gearbox. He thinks he knows The Truth, and he'll dispense it like candy when the masses come knocking. Next stop, Straitjacket City.

Now why is this coming out after Al jr ruined it for him?
Or is it because no one really believes his junk science bunk about global warming?

He has fallen out of love with politics ? Nah, that is a bald face lie I don't believe that for a second.
What has happened, I think is this, he was told by the Clintons, 'You had your chance in 2000, we even supported you, and you lost, now its Hillary's turn and if you interfere by running, we will destroy you. Go make your mark with your bogus global warming scam, and we will support that. Just don't endorse Hillary, you are the kiss of death to a political campaign.'
Fallen out of love with politics ... ? This whole global warming scam is politics, on a world wide scale in cahoots with the money grabbing UN, a little more subtle than Washington politics but still the same, it is grounded in the same evil democrat socialists agenda as Hillary's.

"Americans from every corner of our nation are calling on you," reads a petition on Draftgore.com.
Yes, we're calling on you to just disappear. Go away and never bother us again.

That's one less idiot to worry about for the Dem nomination.
Maybe AG fell out of love with politics because he's raking in the buck for his global-warming nonsense.

I wish he would run in '08. It would add more confusion and dissention to the dimocrats and be more entertaining for the rest of us. The Clintons may have some garbage on him, but don't you know that is a two-way street!

I have to agree with Mark, I think Hillary reminded Prince Albert of Vince Foster's demise and 'asked' him to ride this one out. Gore "fallen out of love with politics", nonsense, he's just posturing and playing the puppet for the party. He reminds me of the puppet show Christopher as WT pointed out, he's the guy on the end, Hillary is in the middle. Do your thing Al.:)
I do wish he'd run in '08, just to see the jihad Hillary or Obama would kick up.

It looks to me as if he's jumping into the spotlight to take the heat off his son.

Very strange expression "fallen out of love with politics" - as though politics is like a high school crush that he's lost the hots for.
(And when he did run in 2000, he didn't exactly look like he was in love - the adjectives I remember about him included "wooden" and "mechnical".)
But when someone has been in politics as long as he (not to mention his coming from a family of politicians), talking about "falling out of love" just doesn't make sense for someone who hitherto has been so methodical and analytical.
About the only thing more incongruous would be Hillary announcing that she was divorcing Bill because she decided she didn't love him anymore.
Unless of course the new mistress that's he been sleeping with - Global Warming - has intoxicated him with whispered promises that shacking up with her is his meal ticket to being annointed Savior of the world.

Wild Thing,
Feel free to delete this after reading. I came by later Thursday after you left a comment on my 4th of July post. I left several comments that never appeared. Did they get lost or consigned to the spam folder? -CT

Lynn, bingo, it sure seems odd doesn't it.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:20 AM
Mark I agree, I can just hear Hillary's monotone voice saying that to Gore.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:22 AM
Bob, hahaha yesss please go away Gore. He is in all his glory right now.......such as it is. yuk!
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:23 AM
Always on Watch, yes, I really wanted him to run, just to give Hillary a nervous breakdown by taking some of her votes away. But either way no way will she win, and he certainly could not have won any Presidential election, he is an idiot.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:25 AM
Tom, me too heh heh I was hoping he would run. They would have been slinging dirt at each other. hahahha
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:26 AM
Jack I know it would be fun. Maybe he will change his mind. heh heh
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:27 AM
Trish that may very well be a big reason for his saying no. His son has been in trouble before so it would bew a big problem if Gore ran for President with his son doing this every so often and maybe even worse things too.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 7, 2007 03:29 AM
Civil truth....... no I didn't delete, every so often a comment or comments will not show up and they go to the junk file. weird and it happens to regular commenters too sometimes. It might be a word in the comment or something not sure. Sometimes it does it when there is a link in the comment too.
