Isn't that little girl wonderful? Yes Lizzie our troops are us.

Modern Americans have no stomach for war abroad, especially if it lasts more than 90 days, their patience is that of the Generation X crowd which wants instant gratification without incurring their input or the toil and suffering to accomplish that all important goal of battle....winning.

That same sense of sideshow wonder which occurred during the onset of our own civil war, when people dressed in their finest turned out to watch the first battles much like todays football fans, that curiosity quickly turned to horror as the death count and destruction mounted before their very eyes. War has a will of it's own and is unstoppable until it's won.

WWI was the war to end all wars, yet a scant quarter century later the world was involved in another conflagration, WWII. That war left us with two major proxy wars that went unresolved due to U.N. pacification, appeasement of the major aggressors and the total lack of American will domestically. Both of those original aggressors and the UN are still out their working overtime to overthrow the strongest democracy in the world in favor of Communist rule or worse yet, Islamo-fascist rule. It seems that majority of the current generation of Americans would prefer the same horrors be visited upon the American people in their homes and cities that occurred during the civil war, not by fellow Americans but by foreigners through bringing the battlefield here to our homeland rather than to their homeland.

Look at Israel for a shining example of co-existance with Islam, look at Palestine or Lebanon for an example of Islamic cultural progress. As we get closer to the end than the beginning some of us who have tasted war and dislike it are awed by the stupendous arrogant ignorance of those who think they can negotiate peace with the devil. The events of Hurricane Katrina showed the nation and the world just how soft and unprepared this nation's people really are. Thank God there are kids like those now volunteering to protect us by taking the battle to the enemy in their homeland because we are getting too old to protect the non producers anymore.

These you troops, our nations finest and future leaders, deserve our loyal support yet as a nation we have elected just the opposite. I am truly disgusted.
