Yesterday was a bad day. Today is a little better, because I've had time to cool down and think more about what's happened here.

History has shown that when a ruling class is facing extinction, and is on the run from events, it will behave in perverse ways, especially by siding with the country's enemies. They will always find a thug, some slobbering cretin like Murtha to clean the ideological toilets. Why? I don't know. Does anyone? The Democrats fit the description, and Murtha is the fat, despicable goon who wipes their asses. Would anyone with self-respect turn the demented Murtha loose to represent a point of view?

British liberals for years sided with communists and betrayed the West openly and in large numbers. So did American liberals during the same period. The French we know about. The Cold War and the war against fascism was undermined by progressives of all kinds.

Since WWII, the Democrats have controlled Congress for almost fifty of those years. The world that kept them there is gone, and they know it; their Vichy friends in the Republican Party were never on our side anyway, so their betrayal isn't news.

Bush should allow the Constitutional crisis ahead to evolve. This was unexpected, but we simply didn't understand how deeply the cancer of Liberalism was rooted in American government. Nothing has changed, we just see the malignancy, and it's been revealed by the war against Islamism. History will sort this out. Things are changing very fast. This is how democracy works.

WT, I'm sickened by the traitors, especially the 17 you listed, yesterday's vote was important, to the troops, the nation and the Republicans, I'll include the 4 Republicans who didn't vote amongst those 17. They didn't have the guts to take a stand either way so their voting record will appear clean, maybe they think we aren't watching.

This just makes the field clearer for 2008, McCain can strut like the RINO peacock he is, he'll still not get my vote, I'd rather not vote than have to vote for another Democrat in a Republican suit.

George Bush may not be the best president, but he's head and shoulders above the rest, I might disagree with his domestic policies but I fully support the war on terror and our troops who are fighting that war.

I watched as much of the 'debate' as I could. It wasn't a debate ~ it was a soapbox for the 2008 elections. What gets me shaking my head the most is the 'non-binding' part. A whole week of doing nothing more than undermining the Administration, the troops and Gen. Petraeus and give our enemies a good laugh at our expense. And today the Senate gets in the act.
The weasels don't even have the spine to commit to their own resolution. It's just more damning non-constructive criticism without responsibility.
And I wish they would stop saying they speak for me. They DO NOT!

Lynn, I saw a graphic, yesterday, I forget where it was but it showed the American Flag and under it the writing said....These Colors Don't Run. Then under that writing was the symbol of the Dem party and it said...."But their colors do.".

OINK, this would be an amzing time to visit the Wall, especially if a person could go a day or two ahead of March 17 th. It is an experience that lives with a person forever.

If President Bush would just call a news conference stating that he has ordered the arrest of these congressional seditionists, and there planned transfer to Gitmo for long term incarceration until they are no longer a threat to the "Safety and Security" of the United States.
I would be eternally in his debt as a patriotic American. And he would earn my vote as the first member of the Ronald Reagan legion of meritorious Presidents. (there probably won't be many Presidents who gain such an honor)
