Bush Nominates Zalmay Khalilzad for UN Post
Bush to Nominate Khalilzad to U.N. Post
abcnews
President Bush will nominate Zalmay Khalilzad to be the new U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Khalilzad is currently the U.S. ambassador to Iraq. The announcement may come as soon as tomorrow. Khalilzad's departure from Baghdad will happen as soon as he is confirmed as U.N. ambassador.
Ryan Crocker, currently the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan, will be nominated to replace Khalilzad in Baghdad. Khalilzad has been U.S. ambassador to Iraq since June 2005. He is the highest ranking Muslim in the U.S. government and one of the few officials at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad fluent in Arabic.
Khalilzad played an active role trying to push the Iraqi government toward political reconciliation. Khalilzad's efforts aliented some in the Shia-dominated Iraqi government who complained that Khalilzad was biased in favor of Iraq's Sunnis. Khalilzad is a Sunni Muslim. Before becoming U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Khalilzad served as U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan. Prior to that, he served as a Special Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large for the Free Iraqis.
Khalilzad has a bachelor's and a master's degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.

I want John Bolton. America needs John Bolton at the UN.

Why do we even have an ambassador at the UN? If the other UN ambassadors get along with Khalilzad, then we will know we sent the wrong guy.

Ok, I'll be the adult here. I don't want a God damn Muslim articulating my position to the world on anything, PERIOD, it can't be done. He may have been able to communicate effectively with the Iraqi's and the Afghani's but that's what we have M 16's and cruise missiles for. What happened here? Did this guy visit the Bush ranch in Texas with a great recipe for lamb chops and a bottle of bourbon???? Bush is losing it. The man has had a little too much Texas BBQ.

Bob, Tom, Billy and Tincan Sailor, I couldn't agree more with your frustrations and misgivings about the direction of the nation and appointment of idiots, incompetents and traitors to positions of responsibility that affect our national security.
I can only imagine what would have been given away if it were not for the attacks of 9-11 and the demands for retribution and internal security.
We've seen the caliber of GWB's selections for the judiciary, thankfully they were challenged.
Bolton was the single exception, he had the United States interests at heart and was effective in his pursuit to clean up UN corruption.
With the return of the big (D) to power Bolton knew he had zero support and only continud undermining of his effort for the future and elected to leave.
Like Billy said "I don't want a God damn Muslim articulating my position to the world on anything, PERIOD". My position couldn't be stated any clearer.

I agree with all of you. Thank you for your input.
We are at war with Islam, not some lone country or even a leader of one country. But Islam: Islam = Muslims
9-11 =-Muslims
Muslims attacking us and that is ONLY one of their attacks. The first Muslim U.S. Congressman was sworn in, and the President named a Muslim to be the United States Ambassador to the U.N.
The thing of installing OUR Muslims in positions of influence, in the fond hopes of ---what?------
convincing the half-a-billion Islamic fence-sitters we are not so bad and actually practice Affirmative Action as regards people of their faith? This guys resume "looks good", but how smart could he be if he actually BELIEVES in the Sunni branch of Islam, the same "faith" Saddam Hussein "believed in"?
I don't like this at all. I don't want a Muslim in power of any kind. Not for our country. A Muslim will never win my trust as every Muslim is a member of a "religion" that preaches and practices hatred against non-Muslims. A person can be a good American or good Muslim, but not both.
A globalist Muslim who belongs to the CFR, is not my choice of someone who represents the US at the UN. I think there could be a conflict of interest when our beliefs go up against the interests of Muslim countries. Could this man stand up against all of the Muslim countries when they band together against the US? I for one don't want to take that chance!
Yes, I'm prejudiced. I'm intolerant of ideas that lead to the death and destruction evidenced by the followers of Islam just as I'm intolerant to the ideas of Nazis, the KKK, Communism.
There is no better testament to the true nature of Islam then how Muslims treat other Muslims within Islamic states. Islam is the most vile of cults, religions, institutions mankind has ever known.

WT for President '08.
I hope you don't take this statement as a put down Wild Thing. I am thinking of the quality of Ronald Reagan when I say this.

Tom, heh heh It isn't a put down at all it just means you agreed with what I said.
Thank you.
