Because our politicians are too dumb and gutless to kick the moron to the kerb, that's why. These ingrates are USING our own liberal laws against us. They trot out their army of 'snivel libertarian' lawyers to wage their own personal Jihad on our court system. This PC madness is getting out of hand. It's time we got serious with these people and send them a powerful message this crap won't be tolerated anymore. I am fast realising that there is no such thing as a moderate muslim - they are all working hand in glove to further their aims in destroying our system of government and our societies in general. The quicker our stupid politicans realise that the better....

kidding aside, i've alwasy wondered just what's been brewing in the nj suburbs of nyc. my own town has grown into a "bedroom community", full of people who moved out of the city, but still travel there to work every day. they travel through every access tunnel and across every bridge into the city, a terrorist cell could very easily hide in a setting like this and move back and forth unnoticed. pretty scary.

My hope for reality in this War with Islam, is a honestly Conservative White House Administration in '08. A president that will call a terrorist a muslim. A Federal policy that will reverse the immigration flow of potential muslim terrorists and actually deport anti-American islamists in large numbers.

It may require a devestating islamist terrorist attack on America before this really happens.

We have a population who when confronted with a problem are apathetic to it and as long as it doesn't directly affect them they will do nothing. Let's look at the O.J. Simpson case, justice wasn't served, the lawyers twisted and spun the truth, the judge was incompetent, Simpsons trial came on the heels of racial riots and the populace was afraid to rock the boat with a black celebrity. Johnny Cochran made a mockery of justice, the jury essentially nullified the findings and the media portrayed Simpson as anything but the criminal he is.
The liberals are doing the same thing with Moslem extremists who are caught plotting to bring down the nation. We have the legal fifth column groups like the ACLU , the NLG and Congresses very own CPC making sure they get the freedom they need to destroy the country.
Groups that brought forth the likes of Lynne Stewart, judge John G. Koeltl and the Dims beloved Nancy Pelosi.
This terrorist was caught in New York, the land of Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton, even if this beast were convicted and sentenced he'd be either pardoned by the Clinton lovers or welcomed into the Pelosi or Dean wing of their party.
I'm afraid that TomR is right, it will take another massive and devastating terrorist strike to wake the population.

There are cells all over the country. Even an hour from where we are now there are lots of them according to the last map I saw about it. Very scary stuff.
