Russia is legally free to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran - official

WASHINGTON, October 4 (Itar-Tass) – As for to day Russia “has no Iegal obstacles to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran,” Nikolai Spassky, deputy head of the Russian Rosatom nuclear agency told reporters on Tuesday.
“We normally work in the framework of international law which is international agreements signed by Russia and resolutions of the UN Security Council,” Spassky said noting that today there are no such resolutions limiting nuclear fuel deliveries to Iran.
However if the United States adopts a law limiting partnership relations with countries cooperating with Iran and if this law affects relations between the two countries in the sphere of nuclear energy “we would revise the situation and react to it,” Spassky said.
The official stressed that in cooperation with Iran “Russia strictly observes al the resolutions by the UN and the IAEA.” He said that Russia would deliver nuclear fuel to Iran before the Bushehr nuclear power plant is launched late in 2007 but only “if Iran signs an agreement on the return of spent nuclear fuel.”
“If by the end of 2007 there are no international norms prohibiting us to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran we will do it,” Spassky said.

These guys are real commie-e-dians. So I guess the task at hand to let 'Pukin' off the hook is to make sure that there is no Iran by the end of 2007. Let's see, if the dumbocrats win the mid terms, they should be able to handle that....won't they? Won't they???? C'mon, tell me they will....please tell me they will....

Putin is a pure Communist. His dislike of America is enough to make him deal with the devil, Iran. One would think that after the schoolhouse massacre at Beslan, the Russians would join ranks with us. But, it must be very difficult to break away from those communist roots. I have read though that the Russians have a pretty successful program on-going to assasinate Chechyan leadership. Do you think that at the same time, Iran may be supporting the Chechyan terrorist movement!
