Kerry knocks Bush on handling of Mideast conflict
U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D- Mass., who was in town Sunday to help Gov. Jennifer Granholm campaign for her re-election bid, took time to take a jab at the Bush administration for its lack of leadership in the Israeli-Lebanon conflict.
"If I was president, this wouldn't have happened," said Kerry during a noon stop at Honest John's bar and grill in Detroit's Cass Corridor.
Bush has been so concentrated on the war in Iraq that other Middle East tension arose as a result, he said.
"The president has been so absent on diplomacy when it comes to issues affecting the Middle East," Kerry said. "We're going to have a lot of ground to make up (in 2008) because of it."
Kerry plans to seek the Democratic nomination for the presidency in 2008.
"Hezbollah guerillas should have been targeted with other terrorist organizations, such as al-Qaida and the Taliban, which operate in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Kerry said. However, Bush, has focused military strength on Iraq."
"This is about American security and Bush has failed. He has made it so much worse because of his lack of reality in going into Iraq.…We have to destroy Hezbollah," he said.

Hey Kerry exactly WOULD YOU have done to prevent this? Get the U.N. to actually uphold and enforce the resolution for Hezbollah to be disarmed?
Victor Hanson calls the UN peace keeping forces "uniformed bystanders " I love that guy.
When Israel gave up a whole lot of land to the rock throwers and homicide bombers and anytime Israel has given in the towelheads see it as a "win" and then try to take more.

Wild Thing, Kerry has absolutely “NO” idea what he would do because he can not make a decision. He is a bag of Hot Air. Just last week in the Senate he was one of 13 Dimocrats that voted against a bill (Vitter amendment) that would prevent lawfully-possessed firearms from being confiscated during and emergency/major disaster. Removing a citizens means of protection if the Police were not available. Then a few minutes later changed his vote and voted for it,(that was a good thing.). My guess is he was voting against the Republican's because they are Republican's then saw that the bill was going to pass because of bi-partisan vote and changed his mind. He does not care about this country or the people in it, or our military, he only cares about his own agenda and what makes him look good. I cannot say in this forum what he is.

If Kerry were president Acne would have been cured along with ever form of cancer and AIDS.
If Kerry had half a brain he would look on a map and see where Iraq sits. Look at what this fool is saying? By saying he would target all terrorist organizations he would have US troops fighting in most nations in the Middle East. Rather than take them on just in Iraq, he would have our forces spread all over...what an idiot.
Interesting thing John 5. I didn't know that about Kerry's vote.

It's true, he flipped on the Vitter Amendment. Kerry is the other half of our national disgrace. I still think Joe Kennedy was the one in the woodpile at the Kerry household, maybe Edward wasn't the youngest son after all.

The UN has had a presence in Palestine for over 56 years, in Lebanon for over 20 years, more like 28? Demonstrating that they are part of the problem not part of the solution. Their record around the world speaks for itself, CommUNism!!!

Kerry is like a lab experiment gone all wrong. It may be a good thing the Democraps have Kerry, Sen Clinton, Dean, Kennedy, Michael Moore et al in the public spotlight. If the D's had even semi-rational people representing them, they might be a more formidable foe.
This is not to say that the Republicans wouldn't benefit from some housecleaning. McCain, Snowe, Bill O'Reily and others

John 5 (VN69/70), yikes I didn't know about the Vitter amendment, thank you so much for telling me. How awful that would be not to be able to protect ourselves. Kerry is really horrible and I can't stand him.

Why is it that each time I read "Melting Face" Kerry's comment about "If I were President"...
The "Wizard of Oz" comes to mind..especially....The Cowardly Lion singing THAT song....
No Wizard can dole out to Kerry what he lacks and so desperately needs.
