Gloom and Doom
A dear friend of mine Beth ...MVRWC....wrote this email. In the wonderful group I am honored to be a part of called the Cotillion we do a lot of sharing and conversation by email, and I want to share this email that Beth wrote with you.
I seriously need to snap the fuck out of this funk. I don’t wanna blog, I hate the blogosphere because of stupid moonbats and Hezbollah supporters (I know, same thing) and because of idiotic vlogging. I’d much rather be reading the good blogs and not bothering with my own right now. I’m incredibly frustrated with what seems like a pointless exercise, because there’s never any effect. You still have lying moonbats, America-haters, Israel/Jew haters, BDS loons, and all that shit. I’m bored and frustrated with all of it, and I’m starting to stress out about there being no real end in sight re: Israel OR the overall war on Islamofascism. I know it’s not supposed to be quick, but everyone else’s impatience, ignorance, and ideology is making me lose the last bit of optimism I have, and that’s tough to do. I usually think “this is America, we’ll survive and prevail anyway,” but dammit, I’m not so sure that’s even true. Not with Iranians going nuclear, at least. I can’t bear to think about Iran nuking Israel, but I almost see it as inevitable. That and them possibly nuking Iraq, or at least getting directly and openly involved there. And the news just keeps piling on, like with this shit in Somalia.I really think liberalism has doomed us all. We aren’t supposed to be for our own interests, we aren’t supposed to make value/moral judgments, we aren’t supposed to have a strong military or fight for/defend our interests abroad. We’re supposed to let the “brown people” (fucking stupid moonbat phrase) do whatever they want because we’re “better” and benevolent, and when they fuck up because they’re evil or brutal or incompetent, we’re supposed to bail them out (see “palestinians,” Africa, etc.) and lead by example, whatever the hell that means on the world stage. Because they’re all human and therefore can’t be “evil,” just “different.”
Meanwhile, evil will continue to roll and we’ll send aid to the starving and/or dead.
If things had been like they are today during WWII, we’d have been doomed then. Instead, I’m afraid that we are now. It may not happen in MY lifetime, but I really do worry about what the world’s going to be like for my daughter. No place seems safe anymore. I think, we could live in Australia, but they’re no safer than we are–if anything, less so. I never thought I’d EVER think this, but maybe 50 years from now–wait for it–Russia? (!) You never know what the world’s going to be like in 50 years. Maybe at least they’ll have a strong country, even if it’s a dictatorship, even if it’s Communist again (!), it’s better than Islamist. I’m just sick about the future for my daughter.
I want to believe that America is stronger than Islamism, but if 9/11 didn’t wake these stupid fucking people up, I don’t know what will. How anyone can seriously look at the world today and NOT see the worldwide evil that is Islam, I don’t know. And the “liberals” (not) will hand the world to them on a silver platter. They think the Patriot Act and NSA surveillance is a police state? Shit, it’s going to take a lot more than THAT to eradicate the problem if they don’t wake the fuck up, and I’d welcome it. I never read In Defense of Internment, but damn, we can’t even “intern” un-uniformed combatants at Gitmo. I’d like to see a hell of a lot more Muslims interned than just those, but the blind moonbats think “fascism” is a reality, and anyone who wants to defeat Islamism is a “fascist.” (Nevermind the fact that we survived the same “fascism” of the WWII years in America.)

You know she's right, I feel the same about blogging. Hardly a day goes by without me wanting to pull the pin. It's like pissing in the ocean and hoping the level will change, nobody can see the emminent evil that Islam poses except for a few of us and we get ignored. Look at how many good bloggers that have thrown in the towel, you get burned out trying to keep yourself informed let alone inform the rest of the population. I'd hate to see Beth leave but fully undertstand her frustration and despair. That shooting in Seattle should serve as a wakeup call to the the nation but they're apologetically psychoanalyzing the murdering bastard instead of treating it as an act of war by an Islamist halfwit that they let into the U.S.

Like I wrote on Beth's page, the country has and is changing, and blogs are part of that change, look at the difference from the Jimmy carter era to today! look at Reagan's legacy, Rush opened many an eye to politics, etc. you just have expectations that exceed the masses, things take a while, I see a generation of youngsters coming up who are much more conservative than their (old hippie) parents.
remember what your momma taught you about pessimism, "can't never could"
go read an old Reagan speech, let that old Reagan optimism soak in. this is still the best country in the world, and we can do our part to keep it that way.

Jack, Beth is not going to leave I won't let her. A good rant sometimes can release the tension of the BS we keep having in the news and the things that are going on that frustrate all of us. I hope the bloggers you know that have stopped will one day come back. We need everyone pulling together and not let the left have all the fun.
I love your blog Jack and I learn a lot there. It would be a great lose if you ever stopped.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 30, 2006 12:30 AM
Mark yesss Rush sure did and no one will come close to what he has done and keeps doing. Thank God for Rush.
I will never stop I love it too much and Beth won't either. I loved her rant and I understand how she feels completely.
Your right Reagan was awesome and so positive. It is always a good idea to reread his speechs and quotes. I do it a lot.

Tincan Sailor and thank God you are a Red Neck I love it!
I am a warrior and there is no way I would ever give up. I think what happens to so many of us is we wish we could do more and then frustration sets in. Beth is fantastric and has done such a great job at ticking off the lefties and the Muslims. I am so proud of her. She has served this country in the military and continues to do what she can by speaking out daily about things.
You are right and I live it every day, that freedom is not free. Not one hour of any day goes by that I am not aware of it and appreciate why I am free. I wish there was more I could do to thank you and others for serving our country.
I agree with you, I get ticked off when someone tells me they are not going to vote. If they are saying it in frustration I understand but I also know if they mean it or not and the next thing they say is how they absolutely will vote and know the privilege it is.

I'm discouraged, too, and fearful for my sons in the snakepits overseas. But we see through a glass darkly. Liberalism is dead, and its corpse is leftism. However awful the rotten thing is, it just stinks and has very little control over the future. It's counterintuitive, and when real fear sets it among the general populace (and it will), they'll be kicked off the lifeboats.
Russian is dying, literally. The birth rate is so low and mortality rate so high, that within twenty years, the remains of their decayed military will be struggling to protect the borders against Chinese claims. China itself is facing a banking crisis of immense proportions, and the restlessness of its vast Third World population.
Islam, or Islamism, is a larger and more dangerous issue. The firestorm to come will effect us all, but Europe in particular. I see a repeat of the 1930's, with the streets flowing with blood and mass deportations. Tolerance for mass Muslim immigration and the idiocies of multiculturalism are the fads of the elites, and not most Europeans...who will find that cultural extinction is a more serious issue than social benefits. It will happen.
The future's dark, and we're in for a real ride. But Islamism won't triumph, and neither will Islam. Wretchard was right when he speculated that a nuclear Iran will spin out of control, and will result in the end of Islam as a major religion. Lacking the slow process of a reformation and enlightenment, and submission to the most dysfunctional and wicked elements within itself, it's carving its own tombstone.
Everyone will bleed in the wars to come, but this is our fate. This slow and agonizing lead-in to the total wars to come is very wearing, very tiring and very frustrating. It's equivalent to the Phony War of 1939, when the pieces hadn't fallen together for WW II.
I'm not encouraged, but I know that we'll triumph and our enemies will die in the millions. There is no other solution but death on a staggering scale. And that is not our hope or our decision to make. It's been made for us by Muslims everywhere. Let them have what they ask for.

I also struggle between optimism and pessimism. This Internet is glorius, but sometimes it gives us too much info, too much food for thought. On occasion I turn off the pc for a day or two - Internet R&R.
I understand Beth's frustration. We are at war. There are multiple enemies. Islam, open borders, disinformation, multi-culturalism, ignorance, lack of concern.
The other commenters are right-on. They have the problems pegged well. The answers seem to be in sight, but we are frustrated that they are not being enacted. Like close the damn borders, speak only English, practice patriotism, be aware, nuke Mecca, etc.
To me, one of the most pressing problems is poor leadership. We need a Reagan type, not a compassionate conservative type. We need a Patton type cheerleader, not a Golden Rule leader. We need a person who knows when to throw verbal diplomacy out the window and call for the blood of our enemies, and tell our critics to shit or get off the pot and out of the way.
My frustration grows everytime I see muslim dress in the store, go thru seven Spanish only channels on my tv, have my living room rocked by automobile boom-box rap noise, listen to demands by minority leaders for special rights and hear my leaders cave in to this nonsense. The United States is becoming less united as we "celebrate" other cultures. Cultures which have never produced a viable, lasting, successful, progressive civilization akin to America. But they want to live those cultures while taking from mine. And in the process destroying my culture and the freedom it has given them. A form of social suicide.
Hopefully, God will soon provide us with another Reagan as a uniting leader. I think the heart and soul base of Middle America, including many recent citizens and thinking, responsible minorities are ready to rally around someone who actually leads. With a few resounding victories in the war against Liberalism( Reagans real enemy more than Communism)I think unity and Americanism will be a majority thought and we will not be so Balkanized. That would be sure relief to a lot of frustration.

Rhod I truly believe we will triumph too. The ride you speak is a perfect way to describe it. Thank you so much for your comment and feelings about this.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 30, 2006 11:46 AM
Tom oh that is a prayer and a wish I have for our future. That from someplace will rise a man like Reagan. We do need tremendous strength in leadership and it just is not there.
Thank you for commenting and I know it does a person good too like you said to take a wee little break from all of this every so often.

I hate to beat the same old dog "BUT" there is
a reason we are in this mess were in...Folks
if your going to talk the talk then you had
best walk the walk!!! "Goverment" begins with
City council and County supervisors and moves
up to state and then on to National Goverment.
You don,t reform from the top you start at the
bottom and work up...And how pray-tell is that
done??? simple every "SOB"has to get off their
colective dead ass and vote and work in the
system, one big mistake is to vote strict party
lines, thats crap, pick the person and do a
little research thats how we get good folks
to run...One thing folks this Election if you
don't get out the vote you can count on having
Nancy Pelosi as House Majorty Leader.now if
that don't get you fired up nothing will and
down the road you can say hello Islam!!!
One last blast,I did high-voltage line construction for a company of 26,000 come
contract time how many do you think voted?
aprox 6-8% and then you would hear someone
say man that contract sucks, you vote
you bet your ass I did,you did? naw lost
my ballot...the real world works the same way
THE VOTE, USE IT OR LOSE IT,YOU DECIDE!!!!

What a great series of poses. The thing we need is alive and well on this blog, and lots of other places. The twenty-eighty rule always applies, from war to retailing. 20% of the people do 80% of the work.
Posted by: Rhod at July 30, 2006 06:57 PM
I meant "posts", not "poses". Sorry.
Posted by: Rhod at July 30, 2006 06:58 PM
Hi Rhod, thank you.
Posted by: Wild Thing at July 31, 2006 01:18 AM
I understand just how she feels. I started feeling that way when I realized that we were being sold out by the senate and could not even protect and secure our own border.Makes me wonder if a hundred years from now some mother or father will be sitting down with a couple of little kids reading them the story about America that historical country that used to be so long ago with such hope and promise but was destroyed from within by the lame and insane.
Posted by: Jack Hamilton at July 31, 2006 10:42 AM
Hi Jack H. I pray very hard we will never let that happen. But I know exactly what you are saying and it is very scary to me.
We need very strong leadership and for America to wake up and they (mostly the left and others too) seem to want to push reality away.
Thank you for commenting.
