Angry Old Salt Ticked Off Again

I was just watching Hardball and fired Fema man Michael Brown told Chris Matthews that he called the President BEFORE Katrina hit and told President Bush to call Mayor Nagin and the Gov. Blanco. To tell them to evacuate the people immediately. President Bush did according to Michael Brown and they did not listen or do anything.

The Mayor and Gov. killed one thousand people and everyone blames the President!

Your damn right I'm pissed!

Two thoughts:

Something that makes me really mad is how the Left has once more made up their own definition for things. The sole function of FEMA is to coordinate disaster relief. It is not meant to do the actual work. Plus how it's so completely forgotten that the primary responsibility for disaster relief comes first from city/county authorities and then state authorities. They are required by law to go UP the chain. The federal govt is prohibited from unilaterly taking action on matters that are a states responsibilities. I don't know which I despise more. The left for their lies or the media/public for believing them.

Why does an intelligent person (AOS) waste their time on such a leftwing sack of crap as Chris Matthews? He's as bad as Larry "never met a Lie-beral I didn't love" King. Only things he tosses are softballs to his lefty pals.

AOS:

Being pissed off is a good thing. It's proven that you live longer. That's why God gave us people like Blanco and Nagin.

I hear you Nicko, it pisses me off too. We've heard about this for months and months and months already, ENOUGH!

and another thing... I'm sick and tired of hearing about Katrina victims. Their sob stories, and their arrests.

How could they have lost everything when they had nothing to begin with? And why are we responsible for giving them something now?

I lost my house in Hurricane Andrew but I didn;t ask the government to fix it.

Check out this new version of the song, Battle of New Orleans. It's hilarious.

Actually, AOS, I was too flippant. Matthews makes me want to kick a hole in the TV set, reach in and grab his flabby neck and swing him around the room.

Some lefty will read this and, all superior-like, tell me that Matthews isn't IN the TV set. They're so literal, these dopes.

I stopped watching Matthews when he developed a blushing crush on John McCain. Whenever McCain was on, Matthews would say something like "John McCain went to Vietnam for guys like me", or "I didn't go to Vietnam; sometimes I wish I did, but I didn't have to because John McCain did".

There were other variations on this, and you had the idea that McCain called Matthews in '65 and said, "Chris, I'm goin' to Vietnam for you, and I plan to spend seven years in a prison camp. Have a nice life, and someday let everyone know what I did for you".

I think it all makes Matthews feel better about himself, not because he cares, but because he can pretend to care that he's conflicted about being a CO and draft-resister. That way he can be a CO, a draft-resister AND a willing Vietnam veteran all at once. Talk about an egomaniac.

You weren't flippant at all Rhod, Mathews is everything you said. I seldom watch that show and just caught it enough to get the blood hot today.
I stopped watching it too after I saw that crap he pulled. Hell even before that he was fodder for a rant or two while I watched the show. WT sent him a scathing email about his BS regarding Vietnam.

Sparks your right about FEMA. I figure the ones believing them are idiots, so the ones I despise are the ones delivering the lies.

I can't stand any of the talk show gods, right or left. They are all a bunch of phoney-tough, money grubing, vain glorious draft dodgers.

It will be written in the history books, and therefore go down as fact, that Bush was responsible for the Katrina screw-up. Even tho the facts will also be in government documents that the locals have first priority responsibility. So the damn liberals win another round in their games of lies.

And Nagin will probably be revered in the Black community as a great heroic victim, like that other (in)famous mayor, Marion Barry of DC.

Tom oh yeah man remember that Barry. You called that one Tom, they will make Nagin a hero. SICK!
