Evil Muslims Protests Lead to Deaths
Two killed in Afghan anti-cartoon protest
ABC News Online
Two protesters killed in Afghanistan are believed to be the first deaths associated with the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. Protests have flared across parts of Afghanistan in recent days, as they have in many Muslim countries.Hundreds turned out in the eastern Afghan city of Mihtarlam and shouted "death to Denmark" and "death to France".
But when a police a station was targeted, police fired at the demonstrators and one person was killed at the scene.
Another died after being taken to a hospital in the nearby city of Jalalabad.
There have also been protests in Kabul.
Hundreds of people also protested in the southern capital, Kandahar, shouting "death to the enemies of Islam, long life to Islam", an AFP correspondent said.
Death toll rises..........
Four killed in cartoon protests
BBC News
Four people have died as demonstrations against cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad intensify.
Three people were killed when police in Afghanistan fired on protesters after a police station came under attack, a government spokesman said.In Somalia, a 14-year-old boy was shot dead and several others were injured after protesters attacked the police.
Monday's deaths were thought to be the first, but officials in Lebanon have now confirmed that a demonstrator died on Sunday after jumping from the third floor of the Danish embassy in Beirut to escape a fire.
Wild Thing's comment......
So it begins and of course we all know this is only the beginning. With these people there is no end to their violence.
Should the cartoons not have been published? I say YES they should have been published. When a bully gets away with being a bully they do not stop, they get stronger. When the Arab cartoons attacked what happened on 9-11 and attacked the Jews and Christians, President Bush and our troops. Well, this is my opinion, but if they dish it out they better be ready to take it. That does not mean I am naive to think they will sit by and take it as the world has done for a long time in response to the cartoons they (the Arabs etc.) have done.
But we as a people, and our Government and the world needs to stand together as one huge force and say NO to the terrorists, fight back and let them know we will not take their crap anymore. That we will not take their threats, their beheadings, and their terrorism any longer. They are NOT going to rule the world as they keep repeating.

By now some other blogs are claiming that Syria and Iran are probably behind these events. After all, said Mark Steyn, where does some camel-humper in Lebanon get a Danish flag...or for that matter, any camel humper anywhere in the Middle East? It's provided to him by offices with access.
Which is not to say that the bearded morons in the streets don't represent a large point of view among Islamists, but that there's a political campaign underway. First, to get Syrian minds off Assad and Irania minds off Ahmadinojerk, and second to intimidate Denmark.
Denmark is sheduled to chair the Security Council's case from the IAEA against Iran. Coincidence? And, Wild Thing..thanks to you for publishing the cartoons.

Rhod wow thank you so much for the information. That is sooo interesting and that "Denmark is scheduled to chair the Security Council's case from the IAEA against Iran."....well I have never been a big believer in coincidence so this is very telling to me anyway. Thank you for your input it means a lot.

Rhod is spot on as to the root cause agitating the demonstrators, someone with a political agenda is stirring this up, pick one country Iran or Syria, both are under world scrutiny, and better yet the useful idiots in the media are really doing the world a service through their exploitation of the rioting, for the true nature of the beast is being exposed for all to see. We'll still be plagued by our own simpletons that still believe in the religion of peace.

Too be killed over cartoons?! Now we know for sure that a lot of people do not think in the same way as the rest of the world.

Chrys that is it, they truly do not think like anyone else. Their whole being is filled with hate and they teach it to their children as well. Thank you for commenting.
