Vietnam Veteran Speaks Out at Town Hall Meeting Held By Traitors to America

Vietnam veteran, General Wagner, stepped up to the microphone and confronted Democrat Reps. Jim Moran and John Murtha at a town hall meeting in Arlington, Va., earlier this week.

General Wagner....click image to see the video and then applaud and cheer for this man!

I visit Walter Reed [Army Hospital] and talk to the young soldiers with their legs blown off. I know you do, too. I can't find one in a dozen that don't believe that they are fighting for a noble cause and are fighting to go back. And I think it's a disgrace when members of our Congress --just as they did in 1975 when they sold out the south Vietnamese--are selling out our soldiers today in Iraq!

Wild Thing's comment..........
General Wagner has served this country and it makes me furious that years later he still has to stand up to the left, to the traitors to America and defend our Troops and our Nation. He deserves better then that, he deserves to have an America that supports our troops, that supports the War against terrorists and the war to bring Freedom to others. He deserves to be applauded NOT applause going to Moronic Moran as you have seen in the video. He deserves for every person in that audience to stand up and cheer HIM, and thank him and welcome him home. I have zero tolerance for the left and have no intention of weakening in any way about how I feel about them. Thank you General Wagner, and Welcome Home!

I'm a Vietnam veteran, 25th Inf Div 66 and 67. There is so much wrong, morally, intellectually and politically, with Jim Moran, that he can't be taken seriously. He has much in common with Jimmy Carter, which is to say a neurotic need for craven submission to tyrants and dictators, and a compulsive need to do it publically. In my opinion, it's a mental disease. It seems to infect The Left more than The Right.

Murtha's another story. He was an intel officer, and the ad copy says he led a company in Vietnam. I would like to know more about this, because he received two Purples and a Bronze, which is suspicious to the extent that two Purples for an officer would normally accompany a Silver, and if the Bronze has no V-Device, then the Purples are Kerry Purples. Bandaid wounds.

If it's churlish to question Murtha's bravery, the provocation is his exploitation of his service. Vietnam veterans are experts on only one thing, their experiences and their service.

I have three sons in this war, one of whom has already served in Afghanistan, another who left recently for Baghdad, another on his way in March to Afghanistan, and the prior-service son is going back in August. Murtha has reviled and scorned these young men and their comrades with his moronic comments about their combat exhaustion and hand-to-mouth remarks. Murtha can go f*** himself. When he shows me his scars and his medals, then he can open his fat mouth.

Rhod I LOVE your post! Thank you so much.

Rhod, thank you too for serving our country. It means a lot to me and always has. Please tell your sons too that there are millions more of us out here that DO appreciate what their serving this country means to us, to America and to the world. You are all very special.

I agree about what you said about Murtha.YES!

Thank you, WT, for allowing me to post. I belabor these things, but this is a subject close to me, and not only in the service of my sons. Murtha is a particular sore spot, and he's raised the fury of former Marines on other blogs.

There is no fair compensating case to be made which would relieve Murtha of the idiocy of his claims about the American military or his willingness to run from the field of battle. Forgive me Corps, but you too can produce some losers.

My guess is that, until now, he's been an unknown and obscure cog in the Democratic Party, a nothing, a man with a mediocre resume and a long view to nowhere, until Peloso got her slimey hands on him. Fifteen minutes, as they. say.

Thank you, too, for your gracious remarks about our boys. They're too involved with their mission, and moved by love of country to let The Left bother them.

Was the applause for Moran? I wish I could have seen the whole thing because the applause started when General Wagner was walking away from the microphone. I’m wondering if the applause was for the General and Moran took it for himself. How could true Americans not applaud General Wagner?

I don’t know Murtha’s full service record but I do know MANY career officers are REMF’s. They do their tour of combat to “fill the squares” and then spend the rest of their careers at the Pentagon or other cushy jobs. Although John Kerry wasn’t a career officer, he went to Vietnam to fill his squares, get his medals, and then as soon as opportunity presented itself, he hightailed back to the states, leaving his men behind.

HI Bob, great post thank you. I wish so much I had known about this on C-Span I too would love to have seen the entire thing. I got the feeling watching just this little video of General Wagner that the applause was for Moran and not the General. It started with what Moran was saying. It really breaks my heart to see what is happening from the left. It angers me too but at the same time my heart is wounded.

Thank you so much for your comments.

General Taylor is a great man in my mind, typical of the retired military that I have the honor to know. Thanks for the video link. Jim Moron.. I mean Moran was caught completely off guard by General Taylors statements. Moron's comment about respecting General Taylor's service almost made me puke! The left has no respect for those who have served and serving our country today.

Rhod, thank you and your sons for serving our country. My oldest step son did a tour in Iraq last year. (Army Reserves, Engineer Corps) He is back in Iraq now working for one of the US contractors rebuilding Iraq's infrastructure.

Thank you for posting the video. Moran came off as the complete idiot he is, stumbling and stammering after General Wagner spoke.

I live only a few miles from Moran's district, and have followed his antics of the years closely. He's been a disgrace for a long time.

Unfortunately, Bob, I think the comments were for Moran. From what I read elsewhere the audience was heavily pro-Moran, which is not really surprising given how liberal Alexandria VA is. These people actually think they can be "pro soldier" and still say the things Moran and Murtha do.

I agree RightToCarry the left truly does not respect our Military. Not in word or deed. I think what angers me more then anything is that their words are not whispered among themselves but broadcast loudly by the media like slapping our troops and our Veterans in the face every time. I just want so badly for our troops to know that we outnumber those that hate our Military.

Thank you RightToCarry for commenting. Prayers too for your son and for Rhod's sons.

Hi Tom the Redhunter, oh wow then you know a lot about him. I have to admit I had not know much about him till now. Thank you so much for your comments.

Right To Carry:

Thank you for your thoughts. One of the boys is a Combat Engineer (Explosives/Mine Clearing) with the 82nd. The Engineers earn their keep, no doubt about it, and I admire and appreciate your son's service every day. One of mine was Army Reserves too, the Afghanistan fellow, but he got tired of being activated/deployed over and over, and went active with the 101st.

BobF raises an interesting and important point. Overseas service for ambitious types, officer or NCO, is a resume enhancement, and certainly Kerry took this path. He got more than he bargained for, and split as soon as possible...something no committed officer would have done.

Murtha, I think, put in twelve years, which is short of retirement, but I smell a poseur in this guy.

I just read Murtha’s bio on his congressional website. He was active duty from 1952 – 1959 when he became a reservist. He did two years in Vietnam, as a reservist, and spent the rest of his time in the reserves till he retired in 1990. He was elected to congress in 1974.

Since Congressman Murtha was a reservist for 30 of his 37 year military career, I wonder where he was when the Democrats were ridiculing President Bush for his Air National Guard service and Vice President Quayle for his National Guard duty. Murtha should have been jumping up and down in congress telling the democrats to “shut their mouths”. I mean, if reserved duty is honorable for Murtha, shouldn’t it have been honorable for Bush and Quayle?

The past presidential election the democrats equated duty in the guard and reserves to cowardness, something that backfired on them with the millions of “weekend warriors” who have served. I never heard of Murtha piping up to defend the reserves and guard. Where was Murtha then?

Wow Bob, this is good information. Thank you sooo much for finding this out.
You are so right about Murtha. Why didn't he speak out and tell the others to shut up about the Reserves. I agree, if others attacked a Branch I served in I sure as heck would defend it and make sure they knew it was honorable to serve as a Reservist.
I am so glad you looked this up, thank you.

I get so mad I want to go to war against Democrats. The nerve of these people! Begining with Andrew Jackson (the founder of their party) they have thumbed their noses at the U.S. Constitution and defied the U.S. Supreme court, then when they lose power they want to misuse the same document and branch of government for their selfish political gain at the expense of America! I urge my president to declare Marshall Law and hang a few traitors before it's to late. The longer we wait, the closer we are to the end of America! WAKE UP CITIZENS, BEFORE IT'S TO LATE! If it's not already.
